Someone is still suffering from snowflake syndrome, so it seems.
In an interview with W magazine, Rosie O’Donnell couldn’t keep Trump out of the discussion, focusing on politics and how she feels about the administration. News flash: she thinks America won’t last. O’Donnell stated: “I seriously worry whether I personally will be able to live through [his presidency] and whether the nation will be able to live through it and survive.”
She also had some scathing things to say about the media and how they handled Trump: “[W]hen he started to run, they all went in their little turtle shells and acted like they had no idea that this was the essence of this man, when had they only turned on Wikipedia, they could have found out everything that we now know is fact. And we wouldn’t have him as president if they had done their jobs.”
The interview was for O’Donnell to talk about her new role in a television drama on Showtime, but apparently even that was affected in some way by Trump’s election. She blamed the fact that it took a while for the show to be picked up by a network on … who else? “We happened to shoot it on the day that Trump was elected so it was kind of a wonky day and a wonky week; and you know, we didn’t get picked up for like six months.”
O’Donnell was so concerned about the election in 2016 that she even had a therapist who told her that it was impossible that Trump could win. She told W magazine, that when she told her therapist she was afraid of Trump winning, “My therapist said a whole thing on how I “can’t have these negative, intrusive thoughts,” and that I “have to believe in the goodness of the world.”” According to O’Donnell, “It has taken me a full year to integrate the reality of him being a president in a way that I don’t come across as either so full of rage that no one can hear my words, or so sad that I can’t articulate the level of pain.”
