Editor’s Note: Contains Offensive Language
While President Trump’s meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin at the G-20 Summit sparked media speculation, HBO host Bill Maher tweeted another, very explicit question for liberals to ponder.
At 9:52pm Tuesday night, Maher tweeted to his 8.14 million followers, asking, “Does Trump have to actually blow Putin? Is that what it wld take? Flagrant D, balls gargling the leader of the Russian Federation? Jus asking.”
To which Rosie O’Donnell responded, “blowing him ain’t illegal.”
Maher has been under fire for using the N-word on his show, Real Time, to such an extent that Senator Al Franken (D-MN) canceled his appearance on the show for Maher’s insensitivity. And while the host has always been incredibly outspoken about his opposition to the POTUS, comparing him to Hitler, Saddam Hussein and Kim Jong Un, this kind of explicit, vulgar language is crossing the line.
This sort of language is unprofessional, to put it nicely. Especially since June, Maher has criticized Trump for his tweets, calling the POTUS “white trash” for tweeting at Morning Joe host Mika Brzezinski. If Maher can’t even control his own Twitter content, he has no room to criticize the president.
