Canadians with Cancer Who Fled to US Condemn Socialized Healthcare

Canada’s socialized healthcare system doesn’t offer hope to women with cancer – it promotes Medical Assistance in Dying (MAiD) – even when life-saving treatments are available, according to accounts by those who suffered at the hands of doctors under government-run medical care.

“Everyone should WATCH this to hear first-hand the horrors that all the Democrats pushing socialized medicine want for America,” Senator Ted Cruz (R-Texas) wrote on X.com Sunday, sharing a video post of a married couple who fled to America to save the wife’s life from Canada’s culture of death:

“Three years ago today, Canada left my wife to die and rot in the Canadian healthcare system, when she was diagnosed with Stage 4 ovarian cancer.

“They left her with no hope. They sent her a pamphlet on how she could kill herself on MAID in the mail and they forgot about her.

“At a last minute decision, she decided to flee Canada and come to the United States to save her life when she was so close to death.

“We’re so grateful to be here in the United States, to live in Texas, where she’s still fighting cancer. But, here we are; we’re sitting on top of the world. Look, here we are. She still has the strength and stamina to hike two hours up to this mountain peak – something that would never have happened if she stayed in Canada. She’d be dead.”

Healthcare in the U.S. “is absolutely superior to Canadian healthcare in every which way,” the husband says with his wife by his side:

“This is evil, absolutely evil. And Canadians have made this their culture, that it is normal and okay to just go and kill yourself.”

 

 

“This…is…evil,” Sen. Cruz says in another post, sharing Daily Mail’s post of an exclusive interview of a woman who tried to save her grandmother from being forcibly euthanized:

“Our 83-year-old Christian grandmother was euthanised (sic) against her will under Canada's assisted dying system - she died covered in blood with her hands clasped in prayer.”

“Bereaved and distraught, she claims MAiD practitioners took advantage of her grandmother’s vulnerability to perform the procedure, which she alleges was carried out without express consent,” the article explains.

On Monday, Laura Ingraham posted two video clips from her Fox News Channel program interview with Kristin Logan, a woman diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer who came to the U.S. for treatment and is now in remission.

Ingraham capsulizes the first video clip, in which Logan explains the horrors of her experience at the mercy of Canadian doctors:

“CANADA: No oncologist yet — but a MAID pamphlet arrived

“Kristin Logan: ‘I hadn’t even seen an oncologist yet before I got that pamphlet.’

“‘As I’m waiting for even the first call from the oncology team, I get this pamphlet in the mail basically telling me that I can go and kill myself.”

“‘At that point you realize what a DYSTOPIAN situation it is.’”

 

In her second post, Ingraham summaries Logan’s contrast of the Canadian and American healthcare systems:

“CANADA vs. AMERICA: ‘I was DYING… I’m still here.’

“Kristin Logan: ‘At the time that I left Canada… I was dying.’”

“‘The medical care I’ve gotten has been outstanding.’

“‘They (Canada) told me three years ago that I wouldn’t make it two years. I’m still here.’”
