“He knows the words by heart to the Cuban national anthem,” Senator John Kennedy (R-La.) mused Thursday, noting how Democrat Michigan Senate candidate Dr. Abdul El-Sayed’s agenda mirrors that of Socialists.
“Dr. Abdul believes in opening up prisons, opening up borders, defunding the police, defunding ICE: he’s a Socialist” – and it takes an uneducated moron to support Socialist policies – Kennedy explained in an “America’s Newsroom” interview:
“If you’ve got a pulse and a marginal desire for a better life and you’ve read any history books, you know that Socialism is for morons.”
“I trust the people of Michigan. And they know this guy’s about ten exists past normal and I think he’ll lose,” the Louisiana Republican said when asked to predict the outcome of the Michigan Senate race.
In addition to the agenda items cited by Kennedy, government takeover of health care, wealth taxes and cutting military aid to Israel are among El-Sayed’s goals that have earned his campaign the support of prominent Democratic Socialists like Sen. Bernie Sanders (Vt.), Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (N.Y.) and Rep. Rashida Tlaib (Mich.).
