MRC Vice President of Business and Culture Dan Gainor lambasted liberal media coverage of anti-Trump protests and the double standard the media use.
“It’s the one standard: Everything the left does is great, everything the right does is wrong,” Gainor said Friday on Fox Business Network’s Intelligence Report with Trish Regan.
He blamed the media for promoting anti-Trump stories and downplaying the severity of liberal protests. Regan asked Gainor why the media fueled protesters’ “anarchy.”
He pointed to journalists’ boosting the #NotMyPresident movement as well as complaints that Trump won the electoral vote, but not the popular vote. “They’re promoting this,” Gainor said.
Citing previous liberal riots and protests from Occupy Wall Street and Black Lives Matter, Gainor argued that the current protests were “not new.”
“The truth is the left has been rioting, burning, vandalizing, attacking people for years,” Gainor said. “The media treat it like it’s no thing. They downplay it. They don’t want to talk about the bad.”
