The Washington Post can’t resist bashing Donald Trump, even in its local gossip column.

The “Reliable Source” section is about “daily news on D.C. VIPs and the city’s hottest gossip.

Among the stories about where Tiffany Trump was seen dining and who former first lady Michelle Obama is partying with in Las Vegas, was a story about how former Beatle Sir Paul McCartney called Trump’s “climate change denial ‘madness,’” in a recent British radio interview.

McCartney was on Radio 1 Newsbeat to promote a short film in which he tries to guilt people into eating less meat for the sake of the planet. He complained about the impact of animal agriculture and fishing and claimed there was a “simple” way to act — by going one day a week without animal products — which could have a “huge” impact on the environment.

He told Radio 1 that vegetarianism is “not the total solution, but it’s part of the solution. A lot of people have been saying this for a long time, but there’s resistance.” Apparently, liberals aren’t always supporting the Resistance when it comes to their issues.

According to The Post, McCartney counts Trump among that resistance undermining his efforts.

“A lot of people like myself think that’s just madness,” McCartney said. “So it’s maybe a good time now to try and focus people’s attention and say ‘Look, forget about him, we can do something.”

The pop star is worth $1.2 billion according to Celebrity Net Worth, thanks to his highly successful musical career which certainly included plenty of fossil-fuel burning flights around the world.
