On 'Lou Dobbs Tonight,' MRC's Gainor Scolds Media Relationship with Clinton Campaign

The liberal news media are “trying to carry [Clinton] across the finish line,” according to MRC Vice President for Business and Culture Dan Gainor.

He slammed the media for its pro-Clinton bias on Fox Business Network’s Lou Dobbs Tonight from November 5. Discussing the media’s involvement in this election cycle, Dobbs noted not only the “bias” in Clinton’s favor, but the “complicity of the national liberal media,” especially regarding the lack of coverage of the FBI investigations and the WikiLeaks revelations.

Gainor revealed that through his own analysis of WikiLeaks, he discovered eight examples where the Clinton Campaign knew about “positive” stories ahead of time. Some of these instances included “big name outlets” like CNN, Atlantic, and Politico.

Dobbs added The New York Times and The Washington Post to the list. Dobbs called these “liberal newspapers” “house organs,” referring to them as “propaganda machines” that run “disinformation campaigns” instead of serving as the “fourth estate watchdogs over our republic.”

“Ever since the Jim Rutenberg column on the front page of the New York Times,” said Gainor, “where he came out and said the nation’s most left-wing newspaper needed to be more left-wing this election because somehow Donald Trump is different, we’ve seen the media move in a decidedly, you know, aggressive, openly, you know, left-wing agenda way.”

Ultimately, Gainor observed, “The one group that’s guaranteed to lose no matter who wins, no matter how much they want one candidate to win, even if Hillary wins, the media lose.”
