Veteran media watchers are well acquainted with the fact that the media in general and MSNBC in particular are cesspools of leftist talking points. Despite this, news anchors at least try not wear their politics on their sleeves, except for Morning Joe’s Mika Brzezinski, who literally did just that by showcasing a pro-Elizabeth Warren t-shirt she received from former Obama Counselor to the Secretary of the Treasury Steven Rattner.
In the opening minutes of the show’s broadcast, Rattner gave Brzezinski a present in honor of “[her] great success on Friday in Philadelphia,” a reference to Brzezinski's "Know Your Value" campaign. Warren was the keynote speaker. "She was great at the event," Mika said. She was so happy with the gift, she said, “I’m wearing that running.”
Admittedly, the shirt is quite fitting. Every time Brzezinski speaks, just picture her in this shirt and everything she says will make sense.
While there is nothing wrong with grateful expressions for a gift, one can only imagine the uproar if a news anchor reacted this way to receiving a pro-Reagan shirt.

MIKA BRZEZINSKI: Welcome to Morning Joe. With us on set we have former treasury official and Morning Joe economic analyst Steve Rattner, who has a present for you, I think.
JOE SCARBOROUGH: Oh no.
STEVEN RATTNER: No. no. It's not for Joe.
BRZEZINSKI: It’s not for Joe?
SCARBOROUGH: Oh is it-
RATTNER: It’s not for Joe.
SCARBOROUGH: I think it's for Mika.
RATTNER: It's pink,
SCARBOROUGH: It's pink, so it's for you.
...
RATTNER: This is because of Mika’s great success on Friday in Philadelphia
SCARBOROUGH: Oh.
BRZEZINSKI: [laughs as she holds the Elizabeth Warren shirt up] Do we really want to do this?
SCARBOROUGH: Elizabeth,
BRZEZINSKI: Okay.
SCARBOROUGH: Alright. Very, guys, guys --
BRZEZINSKI: Oh hilarious.
SCARBOROUGH: Can you move the camera back so we can see Mika’s face?
BRZEZINSKI: Wait a minute.
SCARBOROUGH: With the camera shot.
BRZEZINSKI: Wait a minute. Look at the back.
SCARBOROUGH: Okay, look at that.
[BRZEZINSKI turns it around revealing the words ‘The Best Senator Money Can’t Buy”]
BRZEZINSKI: Thank you, Steve.
WILLIE GEIST: Steve have you been on Elizabeth Warren’s website?
BRZEZINSKI: But today is Hillary's day.
SCARBOROUGH: I know but wasn’t before--RATTNER: I, you know, I tried to get one for Joe--
BRZEZINSKI: I’m wearing that running.
