A common theme of MSNBC’s coverage of the Iowa caucuses was the network’s overall contempt for these voters who are largely out of their demographic. Evangelical voters, in particular, were singled out for scorn.

The doors had not yet closed at caucus locations across the state of Iowa, but MSNBC had already entered into the “maligning the voters” portion of the program. Joy Reid, the network’s flagship racebaiter, decided that this was a good opportunity to dump on white evangelicals voting for Donald Trump.

If an insurrection happened and no one reported on it, did it really happen? Can the perpetrators of violence escape accountability if it escaped the notice of the corporate media? These questions were put to the test as the corporate media conducted a virtual blackout of Saturday night’s violent protests outside the White House.

On both NBC and ABC’s Sunday political affairs shows, there was significant time devoted to the matter of President Biden’s age and whether he is mentally able to conduct the affairs of the presidency in a theoretical second term.

Sunday political talk shows are supposed to be, I’m told, a place where political affairs are talked about both for and by the smart set. Today, one of the smart set appears to have been confused by a Trump-opposed Republican stating that he will nonetheless vote for Donald Trump if he is the 2024 GOP nominee, rather than vote for Joe Biden.

With the upcoming Iowa Caucuses as cover, CBS News’ Ed O’Keefe took it upon himself to scold Gov. Ron DeSantis’ use of the term “illegal immigrant” in a report with enough immigration advocacy to lead reasonable individuals to conclude that the report was better suited to Univision.

A basic tenet of any sort of media tradecraft, whether in print or on-screen, is that you should have some knowledge of the things of which you speak or write. Revolutionary concept, I know. When that doesn’t happen, we get what we saw tonight- an assortment of drive-bys beclowning themselves over the meaning of a quote used by Florida Governor Ron DeSantis as a callback to Ronald Reagan.

During tonight’s CNN GOP presidential primary debate, anchor Jake Tapper dropped a question that would have been in place at a Democrat debate- which was the question on what the candidates would do to cut carbon emissions. This question stuck out like a brick of fake seed oil-and-soy meat in the beef aisle of your local supermarket.

Charlamagne tha God joins Angela Rye on CNN NewsNight With Abby Phillip for some verrrry reluctant cleanup in the wake of his recent, explosive Politico interview wherein he infamously said that “in 2024, it’s a race between the cowards, the crooks, and the couch”. 

The media panic over the unraveling of the 2020 Biden coalition and the disgust of each of its constituent member groups continues apace. NBC News has now taken notice of Biden’s declining support among the black community, and contrasted it with yesterday’s speech at Mother Emanuel AME church in Charleston, South Carolina.
