Univision anchor Jorge Ramos tried to shame a pro-life activist for not falling in line with the liberal line that all Hispanics should vote based on racial grievance. He was stopped cold, and then had to scramble and pitch some Biden talking points in a manner that makes his positions on abortion less extreme to Univision viewers. In other words: disinformation.

NBC on Tuesday excoriated “bully” Donald Trump for interrupting and turning the first presidential debate into a “train wreck.” Next week is the vice presidential debate featuring Mike Pence and Democratic Senator Kamala Harris. Four years ago, on October 4, 2016, journalists were much more gentle on then-vice presidential nominee Tim Kaine. 

As the presidential election draws closer, the nation’s liberal Hispanic nets are scrambling to shoot any and all propagandistic weapons in order to rid themselves of Donald Trump. At Univision, this meant turning the COVID pandemic into a Latino problem, and portraying Latinos as eternal victims.

Refusing to let go of campaign politics even for a day, on Friday, CBS This Morning seized on President Trump’s COVID-19 diagnosis as the “October surprise” of the 2020 campaign. The broadcast also decided that it was important, just hours after the troubling news broke, to remind viewers of polling showing the pandemic was a supposed political advantage for Joe Biden.
