With the mid-term elections less than three months away, Telemundo’s morning show hosts aren’t waiting to begin their openly anti-Trump get-out-the-vote drive. The electoral activism kicked off as the hosts engaged in a round of severe criticism of the Trump administration for having earlier this summer separated adults and minors who unlawfully entered the United States.

The arrest of a repeat DUI offender is usually not controversial, except on Telemundo. Of all cases, Telemundo recently picked just such an offender to portray instead as the ‘victim’ of ruthless ICE officers who dared arrest Carlos Urrutia following his appearance in court for his third DUI offense, in which he crashed his car into a 20-year-old woman, causing her a traumatic brain injury.
