Culture

Hulu's Four Weddings and a Funeral has been largely apolitical since it premiered, but they made up for that in episode 7 "The Sound of Music," on Wednesday, a large portion of which was spent taking cheap shots at conservatives.

If you thought kneeling for the National Anthem was as low as liberals could go, wait until you see the latest episode of Pose—or do yourself a favor, skip it, and get the low down from this article instead. There’s no doubt that this show is littered with liberal agendas, as it revolves around the transgender ball community, but the season finale aired a scene that should have many Americans…

Culture
August 20th, 2019 10:45 PM
On Monday night, ABC’s new summer soap, The Grand Hotel, took a brief, albeit dramatic, moment to address yet another liberal agenda (surprise!)—illegal immigration. In the episode, titled “Suite Little Lies,” Felix (Adrian Pasdar), the fugitive criminal father of Yolanda (Justina Adorno) and Carolina (Feliz Ramirez) is hiding out in the hotel. After the threat of being discovered and sent to…

HBO’s latest fiasco in entertainment, The Righteous Gemstones, premiered on Sunday night. Nudity? Check. Unnecessary profanity? Check. Extremely mind-numbing content? Check. So what sets this show apart from the rest of the junk HBO puts out? Not much. The storyline which is centered around a Rich celebrity pastor, Eli Gemstone (John Goodman), and his family—a greedy and very corrupted bunch of…

New CW Anthology Advises Illegal Immigrants To ‘Hide’

CW is the latest network to jump on the horror anthology train with its new series Two Sentence Horror Stories. Unlike Hulu’s Into the Dark or the new Twilight Zone reboot, the first few episodes of this series have been clear and concise, surprisingly focusing mostly on the scares in its twenty-minute runtime. Unfortunately, that changed with the arrival of its latest episode and some illegal…

Culture

Well, it’s been a month, but FX’s Snowfall is back to give us another pointed racial jab all the way from the 1980s. This time, it’s all of America that comes off as racist, not just cops. At least we can finally spare with the niceties.

AMC’s second season of The Terror, titled The Terror: Infamy, follows a supernatural entity stalking a community within Japanese internment camps during World War II. The “terror” therefore refers to both the evil spirit wreaking havoc on people as well as the evils of war, prejudice, and government imprisonment that actually existed during the time. Rest assured that even if the show doesn’t use…

‘Dear White People’ Portrays Trump Supporters as Racist, KKK Members

Culture
August 6th, 2019 11:19 PM
The third (and hopefully the last) season of Netflix’s Dear White People series began airing August 2 with ten half-hour episodes. The only remarkable aspect of this season is that it feels like it is just the same old, same old kind of stories. They pick up right where they left off in previous seasons mocking conservatives and Republicans. Frankly, it’s gotten boring.

The first season of HBO’s Euphoria has finally come to a close, and it could not come fast enough. This teen drama ranks among the worst shows of the year with its blatant sexual propaganda, and it all comes to a head with quite possibly the worst subject yet: teen abortions.

'Preacher' Premieres With God as Villain: 'Make Him Suffer'

Barely a week after the premiere of Amazon’s The Boys, we’re back to the same ultra-violence, gore, and blasphemy from the same twisted minds behind AMC’s Preacher. Fortunately, this is the final season of Preacher, so unlike The Boys, this should be the last we hear from this show. Unfortunately, we still have to get through this awful season.

'4 Weddings and a Funeral' Takes Cheap Shot at Pence's Christianity

Hulu's Four Weddings and a Funeral tv adaptation is...odd. Co-created by Richard Curtis, who created the original movie, and Mindy Kaling (The Mindy Project), I had high hopes that this team could deliver a heartfelt, funny comedy that either left out the politics or was somewhat balanced. Instead, Republicans and conservatives are overtly insulted and mocked.

The seventh and final season of Netflix’s Orange Is the New Black began airing on July 26 with thirteen hour-long episodes. The intention is to fill in the stories of the inmates of Litchfield Maximum Prison in New York and explain what happens to them as the series ends. In an odd twist, the stories of two former prisoners are used as indictments of America’s current immigration laws.

Amazon Prime’s latest series The Boys is based on the graphic novel of the same name by Garth Ennis, the same writer behind Preacher. The show is also produced by Evan Goldberg and Seth Rogan, who helped to develop the Preacher television series. So is it safe to say that The Boys is just as raunchy, gory, and sacrilegiously irreverent as Preacher? Sadly, it may be much worse.
