The top-clicking article at The Washington Post this morning is about the media and democracy…and now Fox News is the Enemy of the People.
The stakes are higher in January 24’s episode of The Rookie, “Sabotage,” now that Officer Jackson West (Titus Makin Jr.
More of that hard-nosed, just-the-facts journalism that has kept the New York Times the nation’s paper of record: Political reporter Shane Goldmacher’s 1,700-word story on a dog – a beagle named Alvin that featured prominently in a series of popular campaign commercials for new Democratic Sen. Raphael Warnock.
Considering that the journalists at MSNBC consider Democrats the party of science and Republicans the party of collecting magic beans, it's not surprising that Rachel Maddow on Friday tried to spin life for Anthony Fauci under Trump as a nightmare. She lamented the "tough" times he endured under the previous president. (But the vaccine was developed under which president?) Maddow offered fealty to Fauci by expressing her “faith” in the “career scientists at the NIH and the CDC."
Leave it to CBS’s excellent hit cop drama Blue Bloods to confront anti-police sentiment head-on<
Aside from ABC chief anchor George Stephanopoulos’s fiery exchange with Senator Rand Paul (R-KY), Sunday’s This Week was awash with ridiculous and repugnant pronouncements from their mostly libe
The public-radio business-news show Marketplace has this ongoing love affair with Janet Yellen, Biden's new Treasury Secretary. When she was nominated in November, host Kai Ryssdal gushed she was the "economic EGOT" -- like someone who's won an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony -- because she's already been head of the Federal Reserve and the Council of Economic Advisers.
On Thursday night’s handoff between Cuomo Primetime and CNN Tonight, Chris Cuomo and Don Lemon collaborated for yet another hateful attack on the right. Lemon proclaimed that those on “the right” need “to be deprogrammed” and stated that “conservative media” and House and Senate Republicans are empowering extremist groups such as the Proud Boys and QAnon.
The only unity the liberal media were interested in was their way or the highway.
Glenn Kessler and his Washington Post “Fact Checker” squad celebrated their end-of-term count of President Trump’s “false and misleading statements” – 30,573. Their level of aggression clearly increased as the term went on, since they announced on January 21, 2019 they had arrived at 8,158 of those – or 26.7 percent of the four-year total.
Perhaps one of the most exasperating things about the liberal media is that it accuses everyone that disagrees with it of lying while simultaneously lying through its teeth. On Saturday's Velshi, MSNBC host Ali Velshi demonstrated this stunning lack of self-awareness by pompously declaring that Donald Trump’s administration caused “the death of shame” and alleging that before the Trump administration, all public figures who were caught lying either apologized or resigned after being called out by the media.
A look-back in media history.
1952. The question from a reporter to the candidate was this:
“Senator, what is this ‘fund’ we hear about? There is a rumor to the effect that you have a supplementary salary of $20,000 a year, contributed by a hundred California businessmen. What about it?”
Kareem Abdul-Jabbar once got punished by the NBA for sucker punching rival center Kent Benson. As a Democrat apologist for Hollywood Reporter, he now prefers to sucker punch former President Donald Trump and the MAGA crowd.
Add Ben Stiller to the list of artists eager for free speech restrictions.
All three networks on Inauguration Day played a 90 minute special devoted to praising America and patriotism. And while one can question timing of the special (this didn’t happen four years ago), the content was positive and patriotic. ABC and NBC mostly used the half hour prior to the special with panels. CBS, however, offered a segment on how racism may finally be ending now that Joe Biden is president.
Media Research Center President Brent Bozell eviscerated CNN on Friday, deriding them for “flat-out lying” about Donald Trump’s rollout of the COVID vaccine. Appearing on FBN’s Varney and Co., he excoriated CNN for credulously accepting Biden administration claims that they are “starting from scratch” when it comes to distribution.
On Friday's edition of MSNBC Live, host Katy Tur took the opportunity to talk about President Biden's environmental agenda while also implying that former President Trump and Republican policies more generally are to blame for natural disasters. After her opening monologue on the subject, she welcomed radical climate crusader Greta Thunberg to pressure Biden from the far-left.
We’ve seen some of the nation’s largest liberal newspapers boil over in internal turmoil over race, so it’s only natural it would happen at National Public Radio.
