As with the trailer, there’s one word to describe the new video exposing Planned Parenthood’s harvesting of aborted babies: demonic.
The Center for Medical Progress (CMP) released an eighth investigative video on August 25 featuring StemExpress CEO Cate Dyer admitting that her company receives “intact” aborted baby “cases” from clinics and laughing over the thought of shipping baby heads. She also confirmed her company’s once-strong relationship with Planned Parenthood, an abortion giant that only works with abortion “champions.”
Until earlier this month, StemExpress, a biotech company in northern California, was a “partner” with Planned Parenthood to obtain aborted baby parts in the name of research.
Caught on camera, Dyer revealed over wine to undercover actors, “Oh yeah, I mean if you have intact cases – which we’ve done a lot – so we sometimes ship those back to our lab in its entirety.”
A press release by CMP accompanying the video stressed, “Feticidal chemicals like digoxin cannot be used to kill the fetus in a tissue procurement case, so a fetus delivered intact for organ harvesting is likely to be a born-alive infant.”
Dyer later denied that. “My use of the term ‘intact cases’ is a medical term of art that refers solely to ‘intact livers,’ as there was absolutely no mention of ‘intact fetuses’ at any point,” Dyer said in a company release, reported by Free Beacon. “Consistent with the company’s prior public statements, StemExpress has never requested, received or provided to a researcher an ‘intact fetus.’”
Also in the video, Dyer laughed about shipping whole baby heads. “Tell the lab its coming,” she giggled about the dead babies. “They don’t want to open the box, go, ‘Oh God!'”
Not only do abortion clinics prove fatal for babies, but also they endanger women. Dyer admitted “rampant, rampant problems with bacteria” and “staph” in certain clinics where her company is involved.
After she talked about lab techs having “meltdowns” working with “fetal tissue," an actor asked Dyer about support from Planned Parenthood in her work. She confirmed and responded:
You know, everyone at PPFA and just, you know the affiliates, I mean, I just think you’re either in the cause or you’re not. And if you’re not in the cause, like, they don’t need you around. They need champions, and if you’re a champion, you should go.
“They want champions in their house,” she added.
Planned Parenthood’s baby supply to StemExpress seemed essential. “Planned Parenthood has volume, you know, because they’re a volume institution,” she said.
But even then, that wasn’t enough for Dyer. Although her company is already working with “almost like triple digit number clinics,” she wanted “another 50 livers a week.”
The whole operation centered on money, Dyer suggested. “Do you feel like there are clinics out there that have been burned, that feel like they’re doing all this work for research and they – it hasn’t been profitable for them?” she asked on camera. “I haven’t seen that.”
The partnership between StemExpress and Planned Parenthood ended a week ago. “StemExpress, one of the tissue companies that works with Planned Parenthood, is cutting its ties with the women’s health organization after a series of sting videos that have prompted congressional inquiries,” reported Politico, August 14.
The video, following Friday’s trailer including the clip of Dyer laughing over shipping baby heads, is part of CMP’s years-long investigative study into Planned Parenthood, “Human Capital.”
CMP released the eighth video after a Los Angeles judge dissolved a temporary restraining order on the Center for Medical Progress’ footage of StemExpress on Friday, August 21.
Planned Parenthood received more than $528 million in taxpayer funding during the fiscal year 2013-2014. That amounted to more than $1.4 million per day, through government grants, contracts and Medicaid reimbursements.
According to the Charlotte Lozier Institute, the U.S. ranks second in the world for the number of abortions performed each year. The research arm of the Susan B. Anthony List also found that, “If Planned Parenthood were included for comparison, it would rank sixth in the world in number of abortions carried out annually.”
Media History
Since the release of CMP’s first video, the broadcast networks have proven hesitant to publicize the story – and when they did, they refused to even utter the word “baby.”
Not even two week sago, MRC Culture found that the the networks spent an embarrassing total of 0.008% of their news shows playing the CMP footage exposing Planned Parenthood: 1 minute, 13 seconds out of 243 hours and 30 minutes.
From the beginning, the liberal media raced to defend Planned Parenthood. In the first 9 hours and 30 minutes of news shows broadcast after the story broke, ABC, NBC and CBS, spent only 39 seconds on the first video. It took more than 24 hours before all three covered the story. In the week after the first video, the networks gave a mere 9 minutes and 11 seconds to the story (in contrast, the networks devoted more than three times that to the Susan G. Komen controversy, when the charity temporarily decided to defund the abortion giant).
Also during their news shows, ABC, NBC and CBS covered the shooting of Cecil the lion more in one day than they did these videos in two weeks. That discrepancy continued even after three weeks since the release of the first CMP video.
The three networks haven’t mentioned the content of CMP’s last three videos.
The media similarly stayed silent on the case of Philadelphia abortionist Kermit Gosnell. Gosnell's trial, in which witnesses described baby abortion survivors “swimming" in toilets “to get out,” attracted a scant 12–15 reporters. Only after 56 days, multiple letters from members of the House of Representatives and a public outcry, did all three broadcast networks report on Gosnell.
Pro-Life Reaction
In a press release, Fr. Frank Pavone, National Director of Priests for Life, reacted to the latest video.
"We have consistently maintained that Planned Parenthood profits from the sale of baby body parts,” he said. “This video shows that clearly.”
Lila Rose, President of Live Action, called the video “yet another confirmation” that Planned Parenthood “sells the body parts of the children that they abort, including babies who are delivered intact and very likely born alive.”
"Anyone watching these videos can see the horror of Planned Parenthood's baby parts trafficking, and the abortion corporation's continued spin and deception cannot hide the truth,” she added in a press statement. “Taxpayers should not be paying for these atrocities against humanity, and a free, democratic, and moral country should not tolerate the selling of baby body parts."
