My nomination for the best one-liner of the week by someone not specifically employed as a comic goes to TheBlaze TV’s Amy Holmes.
In a Fox News MediaBuzz discussion Sunday about how much of the media have turned on the President as a result of the disastrous rollout of ObamaCare, she said, “I think it's fair to say he's getting a colonoscopy from the press” (video follows with transcript and commentary):
HOWARD KURTZ, HOST: The healthcare rollout has been a disaster. Even the President would not deny that. But is the press being unduly personal in now making this not about a policy fiasco – which it has been - but about whether he personally is untrustworthy?
AMY HOLMES, THEBLAZE TV: Well, he did make those campaign promises over and over again. Two weeks ago on this show, I said the emperor was wearing no clothes. I think it's fair to say he's getting a colonoscopy from the press with the investigations into…
KURTZ: That sounds painful, Amy.
HOLMES: I think it has been painful for the President, and I think that is why in large part he even had this press conference on Thursday, which I think across the board was judged as a disaster.
I'm not sure I'd go so far as calling it a colonoscopy, but it sure is a distant cry from the massage with aromatherapy he's been getting from the media the last six years.
Fortunately for Obama, he's still afforded such luxurious treatment by his shills at MSNBC.
That'll NEVER change!
