It appears that even the most classic kids movie of all time isn’t sacred to Seth MacFarlane and the gang at Fox’s Family Guy.
Sunday’s episode began with a fantasy sequence featuring Peter Griffin and his neighbors going to a “Canadian Nudie Bar” with Glenn Quagmire leading them in a vulgar rendition of “The Merry Old Land of Oz” from “The Wizard of Oz” (video follows with transcribed lowlights and commentary):
As the opening credits rolled, Peter said to his buddies, “I always wanted to go to Canada, then South Park went so we couldn’t go.”
“Oh man, you guys should come with me sometime,” Quagmire responded. “Montreal has the best strip clubs in the world.”
“I’d even go so far as to say that a Canadian strip club is the most magical place in the world,” he added.
From there, the fantasy sequence began sending the guys magically to a Canadian strip club with Quagmire dressed as the Emerald City Gatekeeper.
“Nip nip here, nip nip there, and a bevy of porno stars. There’s jugs and mugs of Molson beer in Canadian nudie bars,” Quagmire sang.
“Dirty hos put on shows and a lot of them don’t have scars,” he continued. “They’ll even take it up the nose in Canadian nudie bars. You can touch and squeeze ‘em, they don’t even care.”
“Would they even dye their pubes to match my hair?” sang Griffin.
“Aha,” answered Quagmire.
“Color me there,” responded Griffin.
“Do like me, say ‘Oui, oui,’ and tell them you’re a friend of Bill Maher’s,” sang Quagmire.
“That’s how you’ll get to watch them pee in Canadian nudie bars,” sang Maher in a brief cameo.
“A guy can get his hockey pucked in Canadian nudie bars,” finished Quagmire as he shot a hockey puck into the crotch of a spread-eagled stripper who then turned to the camera and winked.
Yes, this was the kind of wholesome entertainment children of America were treated to Sunday night all to a classic song from the greatest family film of all time.
And people wonder why the society is crumbling.
