It's one thing to have a show cancelled, but before it even premieres?
Such is what happened to Dane Cook's new NBC program Next Caller which according to Deadline Hollywood has been axed after four episodes have been recorded and not one aired.
Apparently the network's head honchos felt the program wasn't going in the direction they had hoped.
The initial premise was to cast Cook as a vulgar satellite radio jock partnered with a "chipper NPR feminist."
The program was so bad that critics at the Huffington Post who had seen it almost unanimously advised readers in June to skip it.
I guess that won't be an issue now.
