NBC News has begun to focus its coverage on the truest, purest victim of the conflict between Israel and Hamas in Gaza subsequent to the barbaric terrorist attacks of October 7th. And of course, we’re talking about President Joe Biden.
NBC is the first network to sound the alarm over the potential electoral ramifications of Biden’s support for Israel against Hamas’ butchery. Here’s a portion of that report, which highlights a close margin in 2020 and some Arab-Americans unwilling to be a part of that margin in 2024:
GABE GUTIERREZ: In 2020, Biden won Michigan by just 154,000 votes. With more than 300,000 Arab-Americans in the state, the voting bloc could make a critical difference in 2024.
MIKE AYOUB: I'd be hard-pressed to find a single member of my community right now today that would vote for Biden.
GUTIERREZ: A new poll out this week shows former President Trump, the GOP front-runner, beating President Biden in Michigan.
AMER ZHAR: People are very angered and they feel betrayed by the Biden administration. They told us we had to save America from Donald Trump, and now we feel like we have to save Palestine from Joe Biden.
GUTIERREZ: Amer Zhar is an activist who says he begrudgingly backed Biden in 2020.
ZHAR: As things stand right now, I'm voting third party. But I wouldn't be surprised if you see a lot of people turn to Trump as well. It's not about Trump. It's about a protest. It's about a vote to spite the Democratic Party.
From my time in the trenches of The Great Latinx War, I’ve come to learn that these pieces are intended to throw a flare up to several stakeholders, to wit: the rest of the media, the local and national party apparatus, and the presidential campaign itself. Items such as these are an early warning that things are quickly spiraling out of control for the Democrat incumbent and will likely require both a policy reversal and a greater expenditure of campaign resources than anticipated. “This minority electorate which you should’ve had in the bag is getting restive and will quickly begin wilding out unless you turn things around”.
As the ground war escalates in Gaza you can expect to see more pieces, both in print and on screen, about festering anti-Biden discontent in places such as Detroit, Dearborn, and Hamtramck.
Ring the alarm.
