College and professional sports teams in the past half decade have done a lot of things that blatantly disrespect our nation’s military. Thankfully, with Veteran’s Day coming up next week, UConn’s football team has chosen to do something different.
The Huskies will be wearing a special uniform that will honor those who have served in our armed forces. In a year in which multiple college teams have unveiled special uniforms for certain games, this one is one of the best and most inspiring.

Our nation’s military always deserves respect, no matter what mainstream media or progressive-friendly sports teams may try to communicate. UConn taking steps to show that level of respect and a certain amount of pride in America as a whole is heartwarming to see.
The Huskies kickoff against the Minutemen at Rentschler Field in East Hartford, CT at 7 p.m. on Friday.
