Most football stories worthy of news coverage involve something that happened on the field. This time, five high school football athletes in Georgia did something far more important than score touchdowns - they helped save a woman’s life.
Last Friday, Rome High School football players Antwion Carey, Alto Moore, Tyson Brown, Cesar Parker and Treyvon Adams were heading to school when they noticed a car crash right outside the building. Instead of standing by and waiting for authorities to address the situation, the group ran towards the fire and helped rescue the woman, who suffered minor injuries and is expected to make a full recovery.
"We weren't worried about ourselves, we were worried about the lady," Brown said.
