Despite the fact that President Trump’s state visit to the U.K. has gone generally well, the liberal media would have you think otherwise. On The Rachel Maddow Show Tuesday night, the liberal host made sure to highlight every negative she could think of in regards to the visit, stating in summation: “As I say, the President’s overseas trip has been clunky.”
Maddow began her tirade, addressing the President himself; “So, I hope you enjoyed your trip to London, Mr. President.” She then proceeded to list all the things she clearly admired: “Boris [Johnson] didn’t have time for you. All of London turned out unanimously to basically drop their drawers and moon you. And Parliament did not wish to hear from you while you were there.” This is the kind of behavior that has been so long endorsed by MSNBC, it’s no surprise Maddow could barely contain her glee at these upsets.
She continued her list: “Plus, on prominent buildings in London things designed to embarrass or upset you were prominently projected and displayed.” As if MSNBC doesn’t make it its personal mission to do the same.
Just when it looked like she had run out of snubs, Maddow added: “Also Mr. President, I hope you have an excellent time at the VIP lounge at the Shannon airport tomorrow. Which is a really weird place for you to be meeting the Irish Prime Minister.”
Maddow may think she’s being cheeky, but the lack of support for the U.S. President is beginning to turn into a desperate display of cynicism and bitterness.
