In a similar performance from the previous weekend MSNBC’s Joy Reid took to the camera Sunday to play down the seriousness of Hillary Clinton’s E-Mail scandal. As opposed to going on her show— AM Joy – and shouting down a panelist for states damaging facts, this time she went on NBC’s Meet the Press and insulted the public claiming they were too stupid to understand the issue. “The curse for her is that trying to explain it, her answers are so detailed and complicated, that when you explain you're losing,” she explained to the panel.
Reid started off by whining in defense of Clinton and about her inability to shake the damaging story as it, yet again, came back to haunt her. “I think the blessing and the curse for Hillary Clinton is that the E-Mail story is complicated,” Reid complained, “So, the curse for her is that trying to explain it, her answers are so detailed and complicated, that when you explain you're losing.”
“It's also so complicated when you talk to voters they don't really get it,” she stated, continuing to talk down to average Americans, “What they do understand is that they have Gmail, so it doesn't sound like something criminal.” She argued that since people were too dumb to get past their own E-Mail they couldn’t possibly understand Trump, “So when Donald Trump goes over the top and tries to say that it's something criminal, he kind of loses the audience too.”
Radio host Hugh Hewitt seemed to defend the intelligence of the America public when he stated, in response to Reid, “”Short circuit” is Portuguese for, “I did not tell the truth.” And they understand short circuited meant, “I’m sorry, I did not tell the truth.””
Clinton’s E-Mail scandal is a touchy subject for Reid. On July 31 she shouted down a Trump supporter for accurately stating there were roughly 33,000 of Clinton’s E-Mails that were missing. Reid shouted at the guest saying, “No, ma’am! No, Ma’am! You cannot invent things. You cannot say things — You’re putting out incredibly inflammatory information.”
