Appearing on the February 10 edition of Fox Business Network's Risk & Reward, Media Research Center founder and president Brent Bozell blasted the lefty New York Daily News tabloid for insulting Republican primary voters – particularly blasting New Hampshire Republicans in light of Donald Trump's victory there yesterday – and otherwise engaging in "character assassination" of conservatives.
"What gets me is the insults of the voters," Bozell complained to FBN's Deirdre Bolton. "They do call them mindless zombies... this is the Daily News that has really gone off the left-wing deep end" with cover pages "equating Wayne LaPierre of the NRA" to a terrorist and the cover blaring "God Isn't Fixing This" to complain about folks offering up their prayers after the San Bernardino terrorist attack.
"With tabloid journalism, you're going to go far afield sometimes, but that doesn't give you license to undergo a campaign of character assassination," as the Daily News did with LaPierre.
"These left-wingers are always pontificating about right-wing haters" but "there's no conservative type of newspaper" that pulls the hateful stunts that the Daily News does, Bozell observed.
