ObamaCare is falling apart. The National Security Agency has been accused of spying on our closest allies. So what does NBC Today show host Savannah Guthrie think is the biggest story in politics right now?
As told to NBC Tonight Show host Jay Leno Tuesday, whether or not Hillary Clinton is going to run for president in 2016 (video follows with transcribed highlights and commentary):
During their interview, Leno asked Guthrie, “So if you could interview anyone in politics, who would it be?”
“Right now, I would say Hillary Clinton if and only if she gives me the big exclusive: whether she's running or not,” Guthrie answered.
After Leno mocked her for the exclusive caveat, Guthrie said, “I would love to break that story. I mean, I think that's the biggest story in politics right now: Is she or isn't she going to run?”
So with everything going on in the country today, Guthrie thinks that’s the biggest story in politics right now.
Even Leno disagreed changing the subject by saying, “Well, the big story to me is this NSA spying thing.”
That’s big, but I think most Americans would say the biggest political story right now is ObamaCare completely imploding, and the recent revelations that the Administration knew at least three years ago that millions of Americans were going to lose their health insurance once the program was enacted.
Alas, as NewsBusters has been reporting, the folks at NBC News aren’t interested in discussing that even though their own Lisa Myers broke the story.
Even more comical, Leno did mention it during his monologue.
I guess he's more interested in bombshells reported by NBC News than NBC News is.
