Happy Friday NewsBusters readers! Today’s edition of the NewsBusters podcasts holds a special treat for listeners. With executive editor Tim Graham away on a well-deserved summer vacation, the NewsBusters night crew has been left in charge! That’s right, managing editor Curtis Houck and I will be manning the helm for the next couple of weeks.
Keeping with Tim’s format, we discussed the news and media narratives that needed busting this week. First up were the revelations found in Dr. Anthony Clinton --- cough, cough – Dr. Anthony Fauci’s e-mails. Houck and I discussed the media’s refusal to hold him to account and the games they played with White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki on the matter.
Meanwhile, the broadcast networks won’t cover the targeting of Republican lawmakers at their homes.
Further, Houck highlighted the studious work of the MRC’s summer interns: Charlotte Hazard on Morning Joe and Fauci’s e-mails; Bridget O’Neal on juvenile MSNBC guests; MRC Culture’s Abby Streetman on a high school valedictorian’s speech about abortion; Kevin Tober on the media’s smears of GOP election integrity bills.
