Papers, Please! ABC Decries the Maskless, Calls for Soviet-Style 'Passport'

With the fully vaccinated now allowed to move about the public without a mask, the power and control-obsessed liberal media were left squirming as the country began to go back to normal. And despite the science that showed that the vaccinated were not a threat and the unvaccinated that would take advantage of the honor system were just putting themselves at risk, ABC’s Good Morning America spent part of Sunday’s newscast calling for a Soviet-style “passport” system to make people share their status.

Co-anchor Eva Pilgrim kicked off the segment by suggesting “the CDC's latest guidance on who should be wearing masks” had caused “some confusion.” Correspondent Trevor Ault built off of her by nothing that there were “Crowds of many maskless people packed together here in New York. It was something that would have been anxiety-inducing not too long ago.

And although he said the gatherings were “celebratory,” he griped: “However, with millions of people not yet fully vaccinated, these steps have created some new burdens.”

Ault started the video portion of the report by looking on nervously as maskless people were enjoying their lives and freedom in New Orleans and Las Vegas.

“The CDC's new guidance saying the well over 100 million fully vaccinated Americans can stay maskless indoors and outdoors in almost any setting, but the change now forces businesses to make tough decisions as to who they'll allow to be maskless,” he fretted.

At no point did Ault speak with any business owners who were happy that the mask mandates were being lifted. He instead sought out the disgruntled:

STEW LEONARD JR. (president & CEO, Stew Leonard Supermarkets): Even though the government says turn the switch, and okay no masks, a lot of customers are still apprehensive about it and our team members are too.

(…)

LAURA DARR (fitness instructor, wearing a mask): That's going to be an issue, is if people are walking around without a mask, how do you know they're vaccinated?

“Many likely relying on the honor system,” Ault lamented as he went on to peddle the Soviet-style “passport” system many radical liberals wanted. “Some states might try to provide an answer. Oregon may soon require businesses to verify a customer's vaccination status before allowing them to go maskless,” he boasted.

ABC also spoke with Dr. Dean Sidelinger, an Oregon epidemiologist who was seemingly okay with the invasion of privacy. “This would include seeing their vaccination card, a picture of their vaccination card, and checking that they truly have been fully vaccinated,” he explained to Ault.

Before shifting topics to Pfizer’s important vaccine trials with younger kids, Ault decried how “Other states are working to avoid” using vaccine passports. “At least nine already banning so-called vaccine passports with nine other governors and state officials saying they oppose them as well,” he said, putting up a map (pictured above).

Their demands were disturbing because the Soviets had a passport that their citizens needed to have one them to travel around the country or even be out in public. And given how ABC has proven themselves to be corporate whores, this lobbying for passports could be coming from their parent company Disney so they could demand them at their parks.

ABC’s demand for Soviet-style passport system for people to be out in public was made possible because of lucrative sponsorships from Disney and Progressive, which got a special shout out as they went to commercial. Their contact information is linked so you can tell them about the biased news they fund.

EVA PILGRIM: Now to the pandemic and some confusion caused by the CDC's latest guidance on who should be wearing masks. ABC's Trevor Ault joins us with the latest. Good morning, Trevor.

TREVOR AULT: Good morning, Eva. Saturday afternoon was really the first time I could tell a distinct difference with this new mask guidance. Crowds of many maskless people packed together here in New York. It was something that would have been anxiety-inducing not too long ago. Instead, it was celebratory. However, with millions of people not yet fully vaccinated, these steps have created some new burdens.

This morning from the streets of New Orleans' French Quarter --

UNIDENTIFIED MAN 1: Welcome to New Orleans.

AULT: And the Las Vegas strip, more Americans taking the green light to scrap their masks.

UNIDENTIFIED MAN 2: It’s good to be on vacation and not have to worry about wearing a mask.

AULT: The CDC's new guidance saying the well over 100 million fully vaccinated Americans can stay maskless indoors and outdoors in almost any setting, but the change now forces businesses to make tough decisions as to who they'll allow to be maskless.

STEW LEONARD JR. (president & CEO, Stew Leonard Supermarkets): Even though the government says turn the switch, and okay no masks, a lot of customers are still apprehensive about it and our team members are too.

AULT: Many likely relying on the honor system.

LAURA DARR (fitness instructor, wearing a mask): That's going to be an issue, is if people are walking around without a mask, how do you know they're vaccinated?

AULT: Some states might try to provide an answer. Oregon may soon require businesses to verify a customer's vaccination status before allowing them to go maskless.

DR. DEAN SIDELINGER (Oregon epidemiologist): This would include seeing their vaccination card, a picture of their vaccination card, and checking that they truly have been fully vaccinated.

AULT: Other states are working to avoid that. At least nine already banning so-called vaccine passports with nine other governors and state officials saying they oppose them as well. But more than 200 million people are not yet fully vaccinated and health care workers are continuing their push to administer more shots.
