Media Research Center (MRC) President Brent Bozell issued the following statement on Tuesday regarding the State of the Union and the media’s reaction to it:
The speech was a tour de force. Honoring those who gave the supreme sacrifice and a hero like Rush Limbaugh in an unprecedented awarding of the medal of freedom. Likewise in another unprecedented moment, reuniting a military family live, in front of millions on television and in front of America's leadership in the House chamber.
While votes are still being counted in debacle that has been the Iowa Caucuses, President Trump delivered a masterful State of the Union address that was inspiring, uplifting, sobering and forward looking. The media will attack him anyway for it, but the American people will respond well to a President who is not intimidated by left wing attacks, and instead takes the fight directly to them, and wins.
