Near the end of his Fox Business Network (FBN) show on Wednesday night, host Lou Dobbs played and discussed with his panel video released on Tuesday that featured MRCTV’s Dan Joseph asking MSNBC’s Chris Matthews if he still has “the thrill” up his leg all these years later about President Barack Obama.
Of course, as many readers now know, Matthews fired back by ignoring Joseph’s question and repeatedly telling him to “go to hell” and “leave me alone.”
Dobbs teed up the video by describing it as Matthews “being accosted by somebody who had a memory and didn't like what they remembered about Mr. Matthews’s initial reaction to President Obama.”
Laughing hysterically afterward, Dobbs credited the MRC and asked Red Eye co-host Joanne Nosuchkinsky for her thoughts, to which she applauded Joseph for giving the liberal MSNBC host a taste of his own medicine:
I loved it. Why didn't Chris Matthews answer the question? I mean, this reporter did exactly to Chris Matthews what he did to Donald Trump after the debate. Bringing up again about Obama's birth certificate and Donald Trump didn't didn’t want to answer the question. So Chris Matthews, if you are going to serve it, you have to take it.
As the segment later drew to a close, Dobbs opined that the was amused by “the way it came down” with Matthews’s particular choice of words and how “these moments reveal nature and I love that.”

7:55 p.m. EasternLOU DOBBS: I want to turn to Chris Matthews. Can we see the video of Chris Matthews being accosted by somebody who had a memory and didn't like what they remembered about Mr. Matthews’s initial reaction to President Obama.
MRCTV’s DAN JOSEPH [TO MATTHEWS]: We just want to know really quickly. How is your leg?
CHRIS MATTHEWS: What leg?
JOSEPH: The leg. Is the thrill still there?
MATTHEWS: Go to hell. Leave me alone. Okay? It’s not going to help. Leave me alone?
JOSEPH: Are you limping? Did the thrill go away with surgery or did it just going go away on its own? We’re rooting for you. We’re rooting for you over at MRCTV man.
MATTHEWS: Go to hell. Go to hell.
DOBBS: A reporter, I think, it was the Media Research Center. Your reaction to his, I thought, his affrontery? That’s what I would call it.

DOBBS: Yeah I don't think Chris looked happy there.
RED EYE CO-HOST ANDY LEVY: No, he didn't. I thought it was funny, but that said. I'm tired of trolling. Everything is trolling these days. This was really good trolling. I’m just over it.
DOBBS: At least it wasn't on social media.
LEVY: That’s true, but where Matthews blew it was, he shouldn’t have laughed because that’s the way you disarm the troll is to go along with it, say ‘hey, that’s really funny, that’s a good question.’
DOBBS: And that’s a great point and laughter is the best medicine.
LEVY: I’ve heard that. Yeah.
DOBBS: And I happen to like it the way it came down. “Go to hell.” I mean, cause these moments reveal nature and I love that.
