Bozell: Liberal Media Screeching in 'Desperation' As They Fear Obama Loss in November

As the campaign season moves forward, the American people will see more "desperation" by the liberal media and President Obama as the case for his reelection grows harder to justify. "They're not seeing gravitas and they're not seeing presidential statesmanship," NewsBusters publisher Brent Bozell told Fox News Channel's Sean Hannity during last night's "Media Mash" segment.

Bozell was reacting to MSNBC's Ed Schultz, who took to his May 29 radio program The Ed Schultz Show to despondently whine that should Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker (R) survive the union-backed recall effort and should Mitt Romney get elected, there would never be a Democratic president elected in his lifetime again. "Can we spell panic here?" Bozell quipped. "Ed Schultz is to radio what Bill Moyers's daisy ad was to political advertising. It's thermonuclear theatrics. They have been building up Wisconsin as much as possible" and now they're "panicking" as they see a "95 percent chance" that they'll lose this proxy war meant to gin up the liberal base for November.

Also discussed on "Media Mash" was how the media guffawed at a misspelling of "America" on a Romney smartphone app but downplayed Barack Obama's far-more-offensive gaffe in which he accidentally maligned the Poles as having run death camps when under Nazi occupation during World War II. The Polish prime minister, Donald Tusk, has asked for an apology from President Obama.
