On Wednesday evening, MSNBC’s All In host Chris Hayes proved that he has the same intelligence and sophistication as a primitive tribal shaman who blamed their enemies for the weather when he lashed out at governor and presidential candidate Ron DeSantis (R-FL). The MSNBC host accused him and Florida Republicans of “actually trying to make [climate change] worse.”
This latest mental breakdown from Hayes occurred as a reaction to DeSantis turning down $350 million in taxpayer dollars that would go toward left-wing boondoggles like “energy efficiency incentives.” Hayes was beside himself that he would turn down the money since he couldn’t understand why DeSantis didn’t want to waste money like he presumably did.
After Hayes bored his audience to death explaining why “man-made climate change” was real, he turned his ire toward DeSantis:
Given all of that, you would think that the people who represent that uniquely precarious slice of land jutting out into the ocean, in the path of increasingly severe storms, would be fervently trying to mitigate the risk, reduce the enormous amounts of energy we are pumping into the atmosphere. But the reality is literally the opposite.
“Florida's Republican leaders are actually trying to make it worse, actively. Governor Ron DeSantis is refusing to accept 350 million dollars in energy efficiency incentives that Florida is eligible for under the Inflation Reduction Act,” Hayes cried. “He’s just saying burn it. No thanks to hundreds of millions of dollars."
In reality, burning the money would be a better use of the funds than on “energy efficiency incentives.”
Hayes then insisted the money wasn’t set to go toward “some weird experimental liberal cause.” “It would just help people retrofit their homes with energy-efficient appliances, which is a very simple, straightforward way to help tackle carbon emissions and climate change,” Hayes insisted.
Deciding to not waste hundreds of millions of dollars of taxpayer money was “insane nihilism,” according to Hayes.
“My God it is so rare in life and in policy that you are just handed something so simple that can provide so much benefit, like the vaccines, and Ron DeSantis just turned on it, for political expedience,” Hayes said, continuing to lash out.
Hayes ended by crying that, “To Ron DeSantis, this existential threat to the peninsula he represents is just another political debate.”
Well, Hayes is half right. There was no “existential threat” to Florida by “climate change” but this was just another useless political debate that leftists at MSNBC are forcing us to have.

On one level it's hard to even believe it that he's doing this. But of course, Ron DeSantis also turned against the COVID vaccines, which is an equally obvious benefit for his constituents. My God it is so rare in life and in policy that you are just handed something so simple that can provide so much benefit, like the vaccines, and Ron DeSantis just turned on it, for political expedience. His position on climate change is essentially, vaccine denialism at civilizational scale. To Ron DeSantis this existential threat to the peninsula he represents is just another political debate.
