And let's not forget crude and boorish, Ed Schultz's two other signature traits.
On any given day, it doesn't take long for the left-wing radio host and MSNBC weekend prison guard to turn bellicose and bizarre, as was the case Thursday. (Audio clips after the jump)
Here is Schultz's reverse-racist rant against Americans who are inexplicably opposed to millions of illegal aliens being accorded blanket amnesty (h/t for audio, Brian Maloney at mrctv.org) --
For lack of a better term, white folks in this country have got, you know, why do we have a hard-on for these people?! God, I don't know how else to say it! What, what is it that we're pissed off at people that want to be here?! Why is it that we're mad at people that are willing to work hard and contribute to America?!
My favorite part of that tirade -- "for lack of a better term." Keep digging deep, Ed.
Listening to Schultz as his spittle accumulated, it struck me I'd heard this voice before, but where ...? Oh yeah, that tightly-wound guy from "Office Space" describing his vaguely defined job. Much like Schultz, he's got people skills!
