Schwarzenegger Calls for Trump’s Border Wall (But Won’t Use the Word)

Arnold Schwarzenegger will never be president of the United States.

It’s not that he’s too old. At 76, he would be four years younger than the current Commander in Chief.

It’s his place of origin. He was born in the Austrian village of Thal, not the U.S., which by law means he can’t hold the highest office in the land.

He’s still one of the country’s most famous immigrants and an all-American success story for the ages.

Schwarzenegger visited “The View” this week, and the conversation naturally came around to immigration. President Joe Biden’s team recently admitted it will start building sections of a border wall to stop the unending flow of illegal immigrants into the country.

It’s a direct contradiction to the Democrats’ messaging, and policies, on the border. During the 2020 presidential cycle, every Democratic presidential candidate raised his or her hand when it came to letting illegal immigrants have access to free medical care.

That’s likely handing foreigners an engraved invitation to break U.S. immigration laws.

Now, as the feckless Biden administration sees the results of unchecked illegal immigration, it’s pretending to care about the issue.

The “FUBAR” star waded into the immigration debate following co-host Ana Navarro’s prodding.

The erstwhile Republican said something that might surprise pop culture watchers. He repeatedly called for a “comprehensive” solution to the current imbroglio. Then, he got specific.

“I believe very strongly in having a border that no one can get through. That’s number one for me,” the Netflix star said.

He added that work visas are another part of his comprehensive vision.

“Foreign workers are working everywhere and working their asses off. We should give them the visas and let them work legally,” Schwarzenegger recommended. “The system is set up to commit a crime … why can’t we come together, Democrats and Republicans … to do the service they’re supposed to do, to solve this once and for all,” he asked.

He’s being naive.

Democrats crave open borders. They never say as much, but it’s in their actions. And the current open border policies would continue if Republicans hadn’t begun transporting illegal immigrants to blue sanctuary cities like New York and Denver.

Those city mayor are crying, “uncle,” as they get a taste of what southern border towns have endured for far too long.

The sorry status quo is an admission that former President Donald Trump was right, not racist, in calling for a secure border. The real estate mogul’s “build the wall” chant has been savaged by Democrats, some Republicans and the media as racist and unnecessary.

Schwarzenegger won’t be called a racist for demanding a border wall, even if he’s too cowardly to use that actual term. He’s a “good” Republican, which means he’s less willing to attack the Left but happy to mock Republicans (like Trump) to appease his media overlords.

The aging action star knows he has to speak carefully lest his legendary Hollywood career end. “FUBAR” revived his industry prospects, and a second season is on the way.

Calling for a Trumpian wall, or even suggesting the ex-president had a point about the border, might make that his last screen credit.

P.S.: Reality may be changing how the ex-Governator thinks. Schwarzenegger unloads on Democratic big city governors in an upcoming installment of Rob Lowe’s “Literally” podcast.

Lowe then asked Schwarzenegger, who is former Republican governor of California, what he thinks Democrats stand for.

Schwarzenegger didn’t hold back, replying, “Ruin your cities.”

The Predator star then explained, “That’s what the Democrats would say. We are about ruining the cities. We want to f*** up every city in America. That seems to be the theme right now.”
