MRC president Brent Bozell appeared live from Washington today on the Fox Business program Varney & Co. The topic was the media’s difference in covering Hillary Clinton versus the Republican presidential candidates. Bozell said the campaign coverage is all “the Hillary Clinton spin machine.” With her wealth, she’s the “uber one percent,” not an “everyday American.”
“Her idea that she wants to know, she is representing with everydayamericans, she's never met an everyday American,” Bozell cracked. “The idea she's on a listening tour? Her mind's made up what she wants to do. No one is calling her out, which is why she can say these things. Instead what you’re seeing is pap like that. Oh my goodness! She's driving a car!”
Varney added: “Oh my goodness! She's eating a burrito!”
Varney also asked about early coverage of Marco Rubio. Bozell said “The conclusion is that he's too young and inexperienced – this from the same press that had no problem with Barack Obama.”
