In Monday night’s episode of Mary and Jane, titled “Girl on Gurl,” the character of a quirky “feminist mobile librarian” tries to inspire Paige (Jessica Rothe) with the memory of Susan B. Anthony, but it goes horribly wrong...
In this episode, Paige is frustrated that a seventh grade classmate has moved to town and begun her own marijuana delivery service, rivaling Paige’s business. The feminist librarian tells her to be more like Susan B. Anthony when Paige seeks advice – “Girls compete with each other, women empower each other,” she says. This woman pedals around on her mobile feminist library housed on her bicycle, complete with a “justice jar.” She demands a quarter, then another, be deposited in the justice jar for Paige’s statements against her rival. The librarian tells Paige that Anthony didn’t fight for the right for women to vote only to have Paige sulking and not supporting her “sisters.”
One afternoon, Paige falls asleep after smoking some particularly strong marijuana and dreams of a friend, Jenée (Kosha Patel), dressed in a bee costume kissing and seducing her in bed and telling her to go after her rival. Suddenly Susan B. Anthony appears and tells her to be the better person. She joins in and begins to digitally pleasure Paige.
No nudity, but this video is probably NSFW:
Jenée: Seriously, Paige, when are you gonna stop letting Tanya grab everything she sees like a drag queen at the Sephora? It's time to shut that (blank) Down.
Paige: Oh, oh...
Susan: Remember what the feminist mobile librarian said, Paige. Women empower one another.
Jenée: Yay, Susan B. Anthony, champion boner killer.
Susan: Listen, bee, you're not needed here. Paige is a woman of peace. Paige, we can just vision-board our way to a solution.
Jenée: No, Paige, you need to go hard. Like a 13-year-old boy with unrestricted Internet hard.
Paige: Oh, can you do that thing you were doing to my neck? Ahh...
Susan: Take the high road, Paige. You're a better person than that. Doing the right thing will always feel really... Really good.
Jenée: Sue B., you slutty, suffragette. Stop trying to beaver block me.
Paige: Oh...
Susan: It won't end well, Paige. And you'll just be playing into the male stereotype that all women are catty and jealous.
Paige: Mm-hmm...
Susan: That's how they keep women trapped in a tiny little box, in a tiny, little box.
Paige: Do it... Little... Little box! (Panting)
THIS is how lefty feminists honor a woman best known for fighting to give women the right to vote - by having Susan B. Anthony appear in a lesbian threesome sex dream? How progressive!
