Before the disrespectful kneeling, before the black power salutes, the NFL and its players' union were actively attacking America and your values. Above the surface and plain for all to see, players are disrespecting the flag and our veterans. Below the surface are the associations with George Soros, Planned Parenthood and other radical organizations which have zilch to do with football.
It's no wonder the NFL's image is dropping like a rock. A quarter of the way through the 2017 season, television ratings are down, many are boycotting the league and it's now the least popular of the major sports leagues.
2nd Vote, the conservative watchdog for corporate activism, reports, “A prominent anti-Trump ‘resistance’ organization” and several other leftist groups receive direct donations from the National Football League Players Association (NFLPA)":
Additionally 2ndVote has traced the NFLPA's financial support to the Center for Community Change Action, which according to the Washington Free Beacon, “has been involved in direct action against President Donald Trump and Republicans before and after the November elections.” 2ndVote found the NFLPA is donating to the center’s work.
According to the Free Beacon, the Center for Community Change, a Washington, D.C.-based 501(c)(3) non-profit reaps millions in contributions from left-wing foundations like the W.K. Kellogg Foundation, Ford Foundation and George Soros’s Open Society Foundation. The Center for Change supports illegal immigration and sanctuary cities. Later this month, the center will honor Planned Parenthood CEO Cecile Richards, along with noted left-wing activist and billionaire Tom Steyer, will be honored at its Change Champions Awards” event. Google is also sponsoring this gathering of progressives aligned against your values.
The vast majority of NFL players are black, and by supporting Planned Parenthood these athletes are funding a cause working against their best interests. The abortionists are killing preborn black children at a rate three times higher than whites.
Sanctuary cities are protecting foreign drug smugglers and human trafficking criminals.
The NFLPA is also affiliated with the progressive AFL-CIO affiliated labor union, and both organizations have defended national anthem protests. 2ndVote has also found dozens of major corporations complicit in this radical activism through their support of the NFLPA, including Pepsi, Verizon, USAA.
2ndVote also reports the NFLPA has financially supported Steyer's Working America and Jobs With Justice, an organization opposing tax cuts with backing from Soros.
If the anthem protests and black power salutes stopped tomorrow, there would still be sufficient cause for fans to oppose the radical NFL and its players' union. In view of all the league's negatives, Commissioner Roger Goodell and the owners and players have plenty to do to stop the bleeding.
Today the Washington Examiner reported the NFL's approval ratings dropped 13 percentage points in the month of September alone. Its disapproval rating is 40 percent -- the highest of any major league sport, the Winston Group revealed. Among men ages 34-54, the NFL's approval plunged from 73 percent to 42 percent in the last month. During the month of September, approval of the NFL among this group went from +54 percent to -5 percent! This can't help but translate to ticket sales as well. Imagine being a corporate CEO and telling this to your board of directors ... and not getting a pink slip.
As more truth about the overlying liberalism of the NFL enterprise comes to the light, and with the left-stream media cheering on the NFL, things may only get worse for a sports league engaged in attacking America and your values.
