Loyalty is apparently a two-way street for Tom Brady. Just over a month after Donald Trump loudly (as if he is capable of any other kind of volume) voiced his support for Tom Brady in his fight against NFL commissioner Roger Goodell and barely a week after one of The Donald’s “Make America Great Again” campaign hats appeared in his locker, Tom Brady decided to make his presidential preference known.
Responding to a reporter’s question on whether Trump cold sustain his current lead in the GOP primary and keep that momentum going long enough to defeat the eventual Democrat nominee, Brady responded thusly:
Although awesome, the import of this endorsement can be overstated. After all, Brady is from California and plays in Massachusetts, meaning one would have to be higher than a giraffe on a Ferris wheel to believe those bastions of left-wing lunacy would ever turn red even after the endorsement of the greatest quarterback who ever played the game.
Still, it is nice to see two guys who call themselves friends actually have each other’s back, and not just say it.
