Bill O’Reilly: Bud Light Owner Should Just ‘Shut Up’ and CEO Should Be Fired

The First TV's No Spin News host Bill O’Reilly tore into the parent company of disgraced beer brand Bud Light for alienating customers with its nutty transgender nonsense.

On his show last Tuesday, Bill O’Reilly mocked Anheuser-Busch for pinning the blame on its ad agency instead of their CEO after fallout from a woke partnership with “transgender” actor Dylan Mulvaney. O’Reilly rebuked “[Anheuser-Busch CEO Brendan Whitworth for]  trying to fire everybody to protect himself, this is how it goes.”

He then gave Anheuser-Busch a vital piece of advice to avoid sinking itself further than it already has: “They shouldn’t do anything now. Anheuser-Busch should just shut up, trot out the Clydesdales, do your little Christmas commercials, and don’t say another word, because you are making it worse.”

Since partnering with Mulvaney, Bud Light has experienced a freefall in sales, resulting in major losses for Anheuser-Busch. Recently, Anheuser-Busch’s stock was downgraded by multinational bank HBSC over the controversy. But instead of the buck stopping with the CEO, Whitworth apparently has tried to pass it onto everybody else. Along with firing its ad agency, Anheuser-Busch also placed two marketing executives on leave. O’Reilly referred to these decisions as “CYA”, before rolling out the more family-friendly expression, “Cover your butt”.

O’Reilly didn’t mince any words about what should have been done following the controversy and enormous losses:

“The CEO of Anheuser-Busch should be fired.  Boom! Out! You are in charge. This is a disaster. How any rational business-person could think that campaign isn’t going to torque off millions of people, you’re not competent to run the company.”

The Daily Wire podcast host Michael Knowles agreed that Anheuser-Busch’s problems run much deeper than the Dylan Mulvaney partnership. Knowles wrote in a May 8 piece that “Bud Light’s suggestion that the Dylan Mulvaney endorsement was just some one-time thing would be more believable if AB InBev didn’t openly admit to wanting to ‘ensure’ their pro-trans diversity ‘touches upon all functions, including … Marketing.’”
