9/11 Truther Touré's New Wacko Theory: Romney Tried To 'Win More White Votes' With Booing at NAACP
Left-wing author Touré Neblett wildly accused Mitt Romney of playing the race card in a Thursday item on Time's website, claiming that Romney "went to the NAACP's National Convention planning to get booed," so he could "elicit an emotional reaction from white voters. Romney's performance wasn't intended to win more black votes, it was intended to help win more white votes."
Touré, the resident 9/11 truther at MSNBC, ranted that "when Romney called the Affordable Care Act 'Obamacare,' he purposely used a term that would not work with the audience in the room. When he said, 'If you want a President who'll make things better in the African-American community, you are looking at him. Take a look!' he was virtually taunting them the way a pro wrestler who's playing a villain eggs on the crowd saying things he knows will elicit boos."
The writer led his article, "Romney Plays The Race," with his accusation about the former Massachusetts governor, and cited liberal hero Nancy Pelosi as support: "Mitt Romney went to the NAACP’s National Convention planning to get booed. It was no mistake. House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi told Bloomberg TV she believes 'it was a calculated move on his part to get booed at the NAACP convention.'" He continued with his comparison of Romney to a pro-wrestler.
Touré then outlined the supposedly racial strategy behind Romney's speech:
Why would he bother going to the NAACP convention to get booed? Because the real audience wasn't in the room. He wanted to be booed by that black audience so that white conservatives — who still don't see him as one of them — and white undecideds would see that he's unafraid to talk down to black people, to offend them, to be their villain, to make them boo. The result is that he comes off looking tough or gains sympathy. Either way, he gets a soundbite that will bounce through the cable news echo chamber and elicit an emotional reaction from white voters. Romney's performance wasn’t intended to win more black votes, it was intended to help win more white votes.
Tim Alberta of the conservative-leaning National Journal read Romney's performance in heroic terms rarely applied to this candidate. "With the critical eyes of the political world resting squarely upon him, Romney marched defiantly into the lion's den and delivered a speech that was direct, assertive and dispassionate," Alberta wrote. So blacks, in this analogy, are ferocious wild animals who should be feared, only tameable by the most fearless of men, which, Romney supposedly proved he is by facing them down and talking tough.
Get that? Use a common phrase about a hostile environment and the MSNBC host hints that you're a racist extremist. It should be pointed out that Touré himself absurdly played the race and homophobia cards against disco critics back in May 2012, and attacked former GOP presidential candidate Herman Cain for supposedly "giving comfort to racism" in November 2011. Talk about projection.
The writer even used the example of former President George W. Bush against Romney later in his piece. He also unsurprisingly went after the candidate's faith:
Republicans don't always treat the NAACP this way. When George W. Bush went to the convention in 2000 as a candidate for president he said respectfully, "The party of Lincoln has not always carried the mantle of Lincoln," addressing why the GOP is not loved by black voters while nodding to the party's greatest racial justice achievement. Bush said, "Racism, despite all our progress, still exists," and spoke of racial profiling by police. He spoke to the people in the room, not using them to help himself — just as Joe Biden did a day after Romney's speech.
Romney's campaign is built around the idea that as a successful businessman he understands how to shape the economy to aid business and create jobs that will get this country going again. Okay, so why not tailor that message to lay out a plan to combat the black unemployment rate, which is 14.4%, almost double the white unemployment rate? He has said nothing about that. His Mormon faith is central to who he is, so why not speak to the Mormon Church's history of excluding blacks from the priesthood until 1978 when Romney was 31?
Apparently, the MSNBC denizen missed the part of the candidate's speech where he not only pointed out the high unemployment rate in the black community, but also laid out his plan for all middle class Americans immediately before and after his supposedly offensive ObamaCare reference. One might guess that Touré was too busy trying score political points against Romney to notice.
On Wednesday evening, MSNBC host Lawrence O'Donnell forwarded his colleague's conspiracy theory on his program. Touré himself appeared during the segment and claimed that "he's [Romney] not saying he's racist, but he's saying 'the Republican party has been racist, but I am not.'"

I just cannot decide between Toupe' and Souldaddy who is the bigger moron. Is this really the WH talking point of the day? You gotta be kidding! Mittens deliberately went out to get booed by the NAABP in order to win more of the white, bigot, voting base? Yeah Boy, there's a good strategeum.
They have to spin it somehow, don't they?

These fools' desperation is getting downright mind-boggling, yet utterly predictable. We know there isn't a chance in hell that the lefty media are going to say, ''Boy, that took courage for Romney to speak candidly to that audience and he actually got a standing ovation at the end....maybe he's not so hated after all''......yea, right....the racist MSM got together after the show, got the talking points in order so everybody's on the 'same page', and went on the attack spin cycle to paint him as a racist even though the logic they're using is so contrived a 12 year old could see through it. FAIL.
"Heavily edited video"
Submitted by MadRat on Fri, 07/13/2012 - 1:05am.
One of the Left's favorite phrases is, "Heavily edited video..." The booing of Mitt Romney at the NAACP conference is the perfect example of that. How many of you knew Romney was interrupted by applause several times during the speech? How many of you knew Romney got a standing ovation? Romney's goal was not to get booed but to show how he's different from Barak Obama. Obama gave a speech at the conference but not in person. Instead Obama sent Joe Biden to the conference with a pre-recorded message along with the Vice President, which he gave in a mostly empty room ( http://www.black-and-right.com/2012/07/12/pic-of-the-day-369/ ).
Let's imagine if the situation were reversed. President Romney sends an underling with a pre-recorded message to a Mormon political conference, while Barak Obama appeared in person and told the audience that he was looking forward to working with them in the future. How do you think would that impact the people sitting in the audience?
Hope so...

Blacks voted for the black Democrat Obama by a margin of 96% - 4%. It is critical that Romney win the vast majority of the white vote or he'll be run over by the consortium of parasites and freaks that make up the Democrat voting base.
I hope and pray the Romney campaign is smart enough to do what this liberal idiot is suggesting. It would sweet justice, because it sure as heck hacked me off when I watched it.

Toure only ever appears when he needs to feed his need for attention, much like other has-beens, wannabes and never-weres.
His career has not peaked because it never even started. His writing is not particularly interesting except to the ever-insecure leftists who love to pass themselves off as intellectual with the constant America-bashing garbage perpetuated by such useless nitwits as Chomsky et al. They have no positive message but spew constant hate, fear and distress.
It's no wonder that a very high proportion of the chronic major depressive disorder patients that I see self-identify as liberals, progressives and even a few proud Communists/Marxists. I had to look that up. That is funny.
I was talking to a recruiter years ago who asked me about where I would relocate for employment. Knowing next to nothing about Moscow on the Colorado at that time, most of my experience from a TV show or two on PBS and casual reading about the city, I said that would be a potential target city. The recruiter lowered his voice a bit and told me I wouldn't like it there - too many Lefties. Hoo boy, was he right.

I'm sure glad we have intelligent folks like Toure who can hear those subliminal messages and alert the public.
Listen for this from Soledad O'Brien in the near future:
"Some say that Mitt Romney admitted to the NAACP that the Republican Party is racist. Does that make him -- the GOP candidate -- the Racist in Chief? Afterall, the Mormons didn't allow African Americans into the priesthood until 1978, so how does Mitt Romney prove that he's not a racist?"

Don't forget Gal, these are the same people who, when they saw a target on Democrat districts, "knew" that meant to shoot Giffords and other Democrats.
But when John Murtha said "They [soldiers] killed civilians in cold blood!" he just meant Bush's policies were lousy. (That a naval vessel is named after that POS is a stain on this country).

Toady

And here my reaction was Romney's appearance before the NAACP made him a typical GOP toady, groveling in front of a group who will never have anything but disdain for him - like every other Republican who wastes his time going in front of them. Truly a case of "damned if you do, damned if you don't".
The Democrat Media Complex
Submitted by Demonhunter on Thu, 07/12/2012 - 7:57pm.
So, Romney spoke to the NAACP convention so he would get booed. Then, the Democrat Media Complex aided Romney by deceiving the public by mentioning the boos and deliberately not reporting the standing ovation Romney received.
That's your story? Seriously?
Please, refer to this racist cretin as NEBLETT.

We know why the democrats are angry at Romney. The NAACP may have booed some of his comments, but they actually appreciated his speaking to them. The dems dont like the blacks not remembering their place.
To lighten your day...This is for all the La cousins.
La had a long history of heavy democratic voting. We also had a history of heavy voter fraud. In 2001, La began with voter ID requirements. La politics promptly went Republican with little or no voter fraud. Here, of course, the democrats dont dare bring up voter ID...So the joke of the week traveling the gossip mills around the area ......
Bobby Jindal is selling everything he can in order to find money to balance the budget. The dems are angry that he would sell anything as well as raising state employee pension shares.. So, when Bobby found a warehouse full of old voting machines, he decided to sell them to China for millions. Recently, at the local elections, it was a surprise to find out that the winner of the position of Governor of Bejing Province was Edwin Edwards.

Basically by saying Romney tried to appeal to whites by getting booed by blacks, they are calling him a racist.
So let's sum it up: If a white crowd boos a black speaker, the crowd is racist. If a black crowd boos a white speaker, the speaker is racist. Okay, got it.

If Niblet really believed his own theory, he'd be showing the video of the end of Romney's speech, wherein he got a standing ovation. That way Romney's grand scheme would be completely foiled.
But, like the rest of the leftist nutjob media, Niblet will never mention that Romney actually got applause from the NAACP. In fact, the boo in response to the Obamacare line was the only negative response in the entire speech.
