Nervous MSM Suggests McCain Scrap Sarah

Post-Palin Speech Update: How's that poll going now, Bill?

Imagine it's a few days before the Dem convention. In a big—BIG—surprise, Barack Obama names Rhode Island congressman Patrick Kennedy his vice-presidential running mate. You're a partisan Republican.  Do you?:

  • a. demand that Obama drop Kennedy from the ticket; or
  • b. sit back and enjoy the, uh, ride.

I'm guessing the great majority of red-blooded Republicans would answer 'b.'  Why wouldn't you want a weak link on the opposing ticket?  So what kind of scare has Sarah Palin has put into the MSM that various of its members, like Jack Cafferty, are floating the notion that McCain should consider dropping Palin?  Do they sense she could be a real game-changer?

View video here

Examples of the MSM sink-Sarah phenomenon :

  • The totally-in-the-tank for Obama Us Magazine, ran a poll today asking whether Palin should step down.  According to a poster at Free Republic, the mag [owned by big Obama donor Jann Wenner] took the poll down after the results were overwhelmingly against Palin's withdrawal.
  • This afternoon on CNN, Jack Cafferty made his Cafferty File question whether McCain "should consider replacing Palin."

Bonus Coverage: Cafferty Gets Bolshy With Borger

Just before Cafferty commenced his sack-Sarah spiel, he and Gloria Borger had a tension-filled exchange.  Borger asked Cafferty if he remembered that whereas on the day of Obama's acceptance speech McCain ran an ad congratulating Obama on his nomination, Obama was out there today on the stump taking shots at McCain.  "So what?" snapped Cafferty. "John McCain was vociferously critical day after day after day during the entire Democratic convention.  Remember that?"

There is nothing that scares

There is nothing that scares old nutty liberals more than a strong conservative woman that knows how to shoot a firearm.

Correct. I sense panic in

Correct.

I sense panic in the liberal world that contains the MSM.

If they truly did not fear her they would sinply watch McCain implode.  Instead they are going to incredible lengths to sabotage her efforts precisely BECAUSE they fear her.

It took them less than a

It took them less than a week.

Are we supposed to believe they would actually suggest something that they think would help  McCain??

Yeah, they're all just so upset, thinking McCain might lose, that they are offering a solution.

And selling beachfront property in Las Vegas.

Wrong Question

A more logical question would be: Should CNN consider replacing Jack Cafferty.  What a left-wing loser.

Poor Jack...he is need of

Poor Jack...he is need of an old folks home for the insane...

I just heard on CNN that is was The First Dude who belonged to the AIP until 2000...why how dare he! Bad boy...bad, bad, bad, the msm will run with this now as if it a totally bad thing in the first place...I thought we had freedom in this country to decide which party we wanted to be in...the loony left always screeches those sentiments when it fits their agenda and groups that represent/support them financially...

"America isn't the problem...America is the solution." ~ Rush Limbaugh

That's good news

MSM attacks "First Dude". Good.

Now we can talk about Michelle "Really! I am Martha Stewart!" Obama again.

Or we would be able to if there was anyone in the MSM willing to report anything besides how lovely she looks.

hair on fire

My God! The left in in full meltdown mode!

I don't think I've ever seen them this crap-in-the-pants scared of a candidate before. They did a tap dance on Ronnie R. but it was nothing compared to the hatred and fear blasting at Gov. Palin.

I am excited to see garbage

I am excited to see garbage "journalism" like this. It merely confirms how effective the Palin pick is. I can't wait for her to destroy Biden in a debate. The leftist media is running scared and their tactics of personal destruction don't seem to be working out.

Well useing Jacks thinking process

Some members of the Democratic party advocate communism. So all Dems are communist? To think like Jack would be wrong.Jack is a embarassment to any decent jounalist as few as that may be.

Wrong question...

The better question would be:

"Should Sen. Obama drop Sen. Biden now that he knows he's not running against McCain/Romney?"

After all, he could still try to make up with Hillary.  Maybe...

Can you imagine the

Can you imagine the shrieking of "Cruella Deville" evil laughter in a certain mansion in Chapaqua New York right now?

How Scared Are They?

I found this earlier today...and have been waiting for the perfect spot to post it.  This is close enough.

Your link? Did you follow through to here. What we're seeing looks a lot like Obama's run for the  Senate part A against the leading dem and part b against the leading republican.

And his run for the state senate may be a clue as to the next 2-4 mionths.

As Gha-is Askai his opponent said...

"Why say you're for a new tomorrow, then do old-style Chicago politics to remove legitimate candidates?" Askia said. "He talks about honor and democracy, but what honor is there in getting rid of every other candidate so you can run scot-free? Why not let the people decide?"

I think Obama's stooges are trying to either make her so uncomfortable she drops out; or get's McCain to dump her.

That's the only way Obama can win.

Barry's used to using legal tricks to get his opponents off the slate..now he's using his little minions to try to scare and shame a worthwhile woman's FAMILY off the public stage.

Obama is a COWARD.

I came across that a few

I came across that a few days ago somewhere else.

In Illinois he got his opponents booted off the ballot and  ran unopposed. For US Senate he ended up unopposed when Jack Ryan withdrew because of a scandal.

In other words, the end justifies the means.

Obama has never actually won an election.

And hopefully, come Nov. 6, 2008, he still will not have won one.

motherbelt:

"Unopposed?"  That's quite a shot at Alan Keyes.

Or do you think Sen. Obama arranged for Jack Ryan to force his wife to attend sex clubs?

In the meantime, anyone running for office is going to look at the nomination signatures his or her opponent submits.  That's SOP.

And if someone running for office fakes signatures - you have no problem with that?  I certainly do.

"Unopposed?"  That's quite

"Unopposed?"  That's quite a shot at Alan Keyes.

Hey, I loved Alan Keyes, but he daylight jumped into a hot DZ when he took up the campaign in that election.

Too late, little organization, unfriendly press, no chance.

The Dems could have run a potted plant and expected to win.

And if someone running for office fakes signatures - you have no problem with that?  I certainly do.

Are you likewise willing to nullify many democratic victories in Chicago, Seattle, etc for the massive voter fraud that is inherent in Democrat machine politics?

Having 600 supposed voters who supposedly live on an industrial wharf in Seattle vote?  You gots to be kiddin me....

My leftist liberal brother

My leftist liberal brother (yes, I know...but all families have their own skeletons in closets) sent e-mail to me this morning about how Sarah Palin was unqualified to be VP because:

  • She pronounces "nuclear" "NOO-CUE-LUR" (even though that's a valid alternate pronunciation according to Merriam-Webster)
  • She wrote in a 2006 questionnaire on issues important to Alaskans that she thought the phrase "Under God" should stay in the Pledge of Allegiance "because if it was good enough for the Founding Fathers, it's good enough for me" (I had to explain to the doofus that, although she could have phrased it better, she was likely referring to how the Founding Fathers consistently appealed to God, referred to this nation as blessed by God, men being endowed by their Creator with certain inalienable rights, etc.)

In closing my reply, I asked why in the world the left was so scared of Sarah Palin--if she's a stupid rube, then there was nothing to worry about because big tough Biden would take care of her in the VP debate. I mean, it's not like she's got more smarts and a better resume than anybody on the Dem ticket, right?

Kimberly

Kindly remind your bro that there's a long history of mispronouncing "nuclear"....

Really? I guess enough people have pronounced it that way for it to be "accepted." <sigh> Well, if it was good enough for Jimmy Carter....

This kind of nit-picking is really laughable. That's the best these leftoids can do?

LOL

I believe Carter pronounced

I believe Carter pronounced it "nukier."

And yet I bet he feels that

And yet I bet he feels that old "57 States" Obama is over qualified.  Obama, who thinks Arkansas is closer to West Virginia than Illinois is.  The man who would bomb Pakistan but have a group hug with Amadeenajad.   The man who thinks we can gain more oil from pumping up our tires than from drilling.

The panic engendered by the choice of Palin is on display for all to see. The MSM knows this is a real threat to the "hopeful change" mantra of the Chosen One.

This just further proves the old saying,

"When leftists give Republicans political advice, the smart Republican does the opposite."

Running scared

The MSM is anathema to everything I believe in. They serve as my lightning rod. The more they hate and attack something, the better that thing must be.

I wasn't initially too thrilled with the choice of Palin. But I've warmed right up to her since the media launched their full frontal offensive against her.

I haven't seen this much hatred since GWB picked Dick Cheney as VP. As pointed out above, the media reserves this kind of hatred to people they are scared of. (And they were right. Dick Cheney was someone the media should fear). They must be really scared of Sarah Palin. Therefore, she's got my full support.

How many kids did Democratic Idol Robert F. Kennedy have when he ran for President? Eight, with one on the way! Somehow I don't remember the press saying he should stay home with the kids.

Oh, but he was a man and apparently the liberal media thinks fathers don't count when raising kids. How sexist to women and to fathers!

What are the odds?

That Gov. Palin will not be on the ticket in November?

Personally, I wouldn't take 100-1 that Sen. McCain will ask her to step down.  I'd prefer to keep my scoot.

Once again you show your inferior IQ by even hinting at Gov. Palin being dropped. You will change your mind after her speech tonight. Obama is going down!

"Clear" thinker:

This isn't my blog.  The topic wasn't selected by me.  I just offered some information about it.

As for Gov. Palin's speech, she is a very impressive speaker.  I think the content could have been improved in a few places - such as telling the whole story about "The Bridge to Nowhere" and Sen. Obama's work and legislative history.

When Gov. Palin bragged about how she lowered taxes apparently she wasn't thinking about Alaska's hefty windfall oil company profits tax that was then re-distributed to the citizens of Alaska.  Talk about socialism!  No wonder she has such a high approval rating.  Now it's up to those of us who live in the other 49 states to finance Alaska's much-needed infrastructure improvements?

Personnally, I see value in the supposed bridge to nowhere, but probably would no t have funded it until space comes at more of a premium in the Anchorage area.

Regarding Obama's work history, damn little of that to be seen other than running for progressively higher office.

Legislative history?  Um, as chairman of the committee responsible for Afghanistan HE HAS NEVER EVEN HELD A SESSION.  Trust me, he has NO LEGISLATIVE HISTORY.

Now it's up to those of us who live in the other 49 states to finance Alaska's much-needed infrastructure improvements?

I see no evidence of such.

"Should Palin be dropped" floated on Dianne Rehm this a.m. too

Then I had the pleasure of listening to Cafferty's afternoon meltdown later.

Ever notice how rude and unprofessional Cafferty gets when one of his colleagues challenges him on something. One of the female anchors contradicted Cafferty's assertion that McCain attacked Obama throughout the Dem convention and DUI Cafferty flew off the handle. Very awkward on the set, with Jack sitting there scowling. Hey Jack: Why don't you just run over her with your car and drive away?

What an embarrassment that guy is. So glad he represents a trash network like CNN and the liberals.

BTW, has anybody asked if Biden should be dropped?
