There were plenty of reasons to overthrow Saddam.
Saddam Hussein used Chemical weapon in three different situations, attacked 6 nations, violated the terms of the Gulf War surrender, planned the assassination of a former US President, collaborated with and harbored terrorists, and was – according to the New York Times – one year away from building an Atomic Bomb before he was finally overthrown.

As a Vietnam Vet I do not see myself as part of an embarassment. What I do see as an embarrassment are people like your self. The difference in people like me and you is that I have and will defend your right to believe and say what ever you want to say. I will ask you the same question that I asked Which Wing. Exactly when would you defend your country? What is your criteria for picking up a weapon and fighting for our country?

July 28, 2007 - 15:38 ET by Conservative VoiceVietnam was an
embarrassment, but not from the military. It was the media giving hippies a
voice but not real Americans, Jane Fonda types, draft dodgers, Kerry the liar,
etc. And it was an embarrassment that feel gooders wanted to pull out because
they saw death and destruction, and it was an embarrassment that our political
leaders lacked a spine to do the right thing...don't give up until we win.
Going to Vietnam was the right thing, leaving Vietnam was a terrible mistake
that wasted even more lives in the wake of leaving. We allowed our friends
there to be slaughtered and we showed the Communists and other enemies that we
weren't fully committed.
Hopefully we won't repeat history with Iraq.

July 19, 2007 - 05:05 ET by UnsaneYeah, the Korean War was a big mistake too. We should have left those Koreans to Kim Il-Sung's loving embrace. Who needs yet another developed nation like South Korea when it could have been one big, happy, united prison under the Kims?

Case for the War - Updated
July 17, 2007 - 07:44 ET by Free StinkerHere is a list update for July 2, 2007 (List v.4.1) ~ Edited July 17th ~
In honor of what may well be the last update to this list, I have this insightful quote from The Russian business weekly Itogi: "Even if Colin Powell had presented the UN with an atomic bomb confiscated from Saddam, the Europeans would have been unlikely to agree to start a war."

Check out the July/August Foreign Policy for a great European rip-fest. Among the quotes I can recall from it (don't have the copy in front of me): "Europe cannot and will not (militarily) act. It lacks the will and the means." The author also goes on to state that rather than face up to that uncomfortable fact, the Europeans would rather sit around and whine about the evils of "unilateralism".
