The CNN transcripts page for December 31, 2008 might seem a little ahead of its time, already having a listing on Wednesday morning for the Anderson Cooper New Year’s ball-dropping festivities with liberal comedienne Kathy "Suck It, Jesus" Griffin. The transcript is dated 12/31/08, but it’s clearly off by a year when you see some of the talk:

GRIFFIN: I just -- I like to say President Huckabee.

COOPER: He'll be the Secretary of Defense someday, you know.

GRIFFIN: Wouldn't that be the greatest contender ever, that nutbag Huckabee, right?

COOPER: I don't know what you're ...

GRIFFIN: Now, of the current administration, I know you have to be impartial.

COOPER: Right.

GRIFFIN: Of the current administration, who would you most like to waterboard?

COOPER: Oh, that's not even funny. That's not, that crosses the line, Kathy Griffin.

GRIFFIN: It's not even -- that's what I'm here to do. I'm here to move it, and then cross it. Have I got you fired yet?

COOPER: Not yet, no.

GRIFFIN: How much time do I have?

COOPER: Well, not much more -- about 15 more minutes.

Earlier in the transcript comes CNN’s apparently traditional following of Key West’s annual descending red stilletto with a drag queen named "Sushi" inside. After CNN’s John Zarrella reported this event, Griffin was thrilled:

GRIFFIN: Is there anything sweeter than a happy drag queen?

COOPER: What?

GRIFFIN: Is there anything God's green earth sweeter than a happy drag queen?

COOPER: You're getting a little teary eyed.

GRIFFIN: I am. I'm emotional.

COOPER: John [Zarrella] -- well he's gone, but I'm sure they'll appreciate the fact that you were getting a little (INAUDIBLE).

GRIFFIN: Yes, it's wonderful down there how the drag queens put up with the humidity is beyond me. I respect them.

COOPER: A lot of drag queens are big fans of yours.

GRIFFIN: This year on My Life on the D-List we're actually taking a drag queen flight from San Francisco to Sydney, and I'm performing on the plane.

COOPER: Are you serious, really?

GRIFFIN: Yes, I'm performing on the plane.

COOPER: An entire plane, wow.

Presumptuous

How presumptuous is the title of Griffin's show?

I mean she actually puts herself as far up as the D-List?

What gave her the delusional impression that she was that important?

You said it all!

uuuhhhh

Kathy who? Where might I have known her from? Oh, comedianne. OK. Another waste of oxygen on the planet.

Yes, she needs a captive

audience in order to hold their attention for more than three minutes.

Ugh!  Can you imagine the sheer torture of having been stuck on a plane for hours on end, having to listen to that worn out old rucksack?  Please, waterboard me, anything to make the torture end!

She seems to be CNN's

She seems to be CNN's latest drama queen, who is absolutely disgusting with whatever comes out of her ugly mouth.

She is suppose to be funny, she's as funny as Roseanne, Rosie, Maher, Letterman and all the rest of the filthy left.

Kathy Griffin is a bat out of hell.

Griffen is one of the most

Griffen is one of the most revolting sewer mouths on TV, isn't she? She strikes me as a very angry person who has more than her share of internal demons.

She strikes me as a female

She strikes me as a female Bill Maher.

Batty as Hell, too

Kathy Griffin is yet another on a long list of celebrities who lost half of their audience when they 'got political'.  I wonder how that has worked out for her, the Dixie Chicks (who PO'd nearly all of their target audience), David Letterman, and many others.  I never watch her anymore because of the hate she has for people who have done absolutely nothing to her.  She gets physically ugly when she starts spewing.  'They' all do.

('They' can include, but are not limited to, Joy Behar, Rosie, Roseanne, Franken, and the absolute Worst in the World - Keith Olbermann.)

Of course if the bad guys just told us what we wanted to know...

...about who they were going to kill and when they were going to do it, there wouldn't be any need to waterboard, now would there Kathy?

Unless of course you think our interrogators waterboard just anyone they come across.

Or perhaps you think these bloodsucking terrorists are somehow protected by the 5th Amendment of the Constitution?

But then again, considering the fact you hosted the Gay/Lesbian Porn Film awards (I'm sure your parents are so proud), I doubt very much if you even think about such things.

Prester... I once read a

Prester...

I once read a letter-to-the-editor of our largest area Newspaper. The subject was torture and waterboarding. This maroon wrote that he had the perfect plan... "Instead of torture, which we know does not work, I suggest we bribe them with $10 million dollars".

"Instead of torture, which we know does not work, I suggest we bribe them with $10 million dollars".

Wow, smart reader.

Let's see if we can solve all the world's problems.

I will offer all racists $10 million to stop being racist.

I will offer all criminals $10 million to stop being criminals.

I will offer all homos $10 million to stop being homos.

I will offer all child molestors $10 million to stop being child molestors.

Wow, I think it's working.

I love Kathy!

What is this--Grumps Anonymous? I love KG. Just the other day, I was wondering where she was--Top Chef was on for the 50th time.

she did actually go to the middle east for the troops

I personally think it was because she knew they would film it and she would get the pub but God bless her for going for whatever reason. When she got back she was ruminating about the troops , their attitudes and their demeanor and she just couldn't bring herself to believe they actually meant it when they said they would rather be home but they knew why they were there and wanted to finish the job. She was incapable of fathoming someone doing something for someone else that was bigger than themselves. Kinda sad actually.

I haven't been to Iraq

Well, I can't comment on this bec I have not been to Iraq. But I did see the episodes and thought at the time that it took some stones to go there.

Waterboarding

We need a rule that commediannes can't joke about waterboarding until they've tried it.

Welcome to the era of unity, you racist!

Plus...

The whole point of what she said was not to "joke" about a horrible interrogation technique--but to twit that stick Cooper. And it worked.

Not a clue

I would wager none of these nitwits have a clue exactly what waterboarding is or how it is done. Every military flier and most likely thousands more have experienced waterboarding since Col. Sanders was a private, if they went through S.E.R.E. training. I admit it will pull your pucker string all the way out but it isn't torture the way most of us think of torture. It is very highly controlled and they use it to prepare us for techiniques used to extract information.

I don'tget it...

I guess I just don't get "new humor". Is it supposed to be funny? I've watched Kathy Griffin's stand up routines and, for the life of me, I can't see what's making her audience laugh. Her long, drawn out stories have no punch line or any point at all - unless it's supposed to impress her audience that she's had brief encounters with some celebrities. It seems that laughter has been replaced with nervous giggles of the "I can't believe she said that out loud" variety. She also seems to have an obsession about gay guys and being around them - hence CNN's pairing, I suppose. I'll laugh at just about anything that's funny - however raunchy (I really like Jeff Dunham's routines on Comedy Central) - but I just don't see the humor in Kathy Griffin - unless b**chiness is supposed to be funny.

The "Mainstream" Media: By liberals. For liberals.

"Liberal" Humor

Right, Chris. So much that passes for humor today is not funny at all. "Liberals" appear to think that toilet humor or jokes that mock someone else are all there is to "humor". Of course, this is because they are quite immature in everything they do. Griffith is how old?--late forties, fifties? Yet, like a teenager, she strains to be humorous. They are a sad lot, these "liberals".

NEVER,NEVER trust a "liberal"

As if CNN weren't leftist

As if CNN weren't leftist enough, they go and hire this vulgar witch.

'Vulgar witch'

Perfect. I'm going to go savour that like a fine wine.

one question

Just one question.. where's the funny part?

Just one question.. where's the funny part?

m1xram: The fact that she's finally got a gig with the largest audience she had in years: entertaining drag queens on a plane.

Funny part? It's a two seater.

I have to admit many years

I have to admit many years ago when she first came out, I thought she was mildly funny. The she got the gay obssession, and started saying whatever, no matter how offensive to get her name in the news. I tried to watch her special a couple of years ago, and was utterly disgusted. Then she just pushed it whole hog with the suck it, Jesus business, and I marked her on the permanent butler blacklist. I have so many names on it, I pretty much don't see any movies or tv anymore.

The Word "Comedienne" Has No Business Being Next To Her Name!

She's NOT funny!!!  On a funny scale of 1 to 10, she's a -15!  I think that liberal comediennes like Randi Rhodes, Rosie, Roseanne, Margaret Cho, Joy Behar, Whoopi, are so full of inner hatred that they are incapable of being funny.  If you can't laugh at yourself, how can you expect to make other people laugh?

She was on "The View" recently and, pretty much, called Condi a sellout doing the bidding of her "massa" GWB.  She, basically, implied that any person of color couldn't possibly be a Republican or a conservative.  That should tell you everything you need to know about her.

"For The First Time In My Life, I Am No Longer Proud Of My Country Because It Seems Like, Socialism Has Made A Comeback"

She is proof that...

you don't need to have any sort of talent to be a celebrity.

Perfect Demotivator for the Obama Administration

I say yay, Kathy

I am parting ways on this one--I like her! She has given me many laugh-out-loud moments. And I can't stand Obama. See if you can hold two competing thoughts in your mind.

I am proud to say that I

I am proud to say that I don't really know who Kathy Griffin, Griffith, whatever is...that is, it means that I do nothing to add a single dime to her bank account.

Also, "comedienne"?  Come now.  This is 2009, the Year of the Empty Suit.  Enough of the sexism already.  Get with the program.
