Spreading the Word
As we reported earlier, former CBS news anchor Dan Rather noted on today's Morning Joe on MSNBC that the traditional media is largely ignoring Democratic Senator and Vice Presidential candidate Joe Biden's alarming comment on Sunday:  "... (M)ark my words, within the next, first six months of this administration if we win, you're gonna face a major international challenge, because they are going to want to test him...."

Rather pointed out "... (C)ertainly if Sarah Palin had said this it would be above the fold in most newspapers today... (I)f Sarah Palin had said this, the newspapers would have jumped all over it and so would have the major television outlets."

Morning Joe co-host Mika Brzezinski agreed with Rather's assessment, saying "I'm seeing spotty media coverage."

Spotty is an understatement.

Last night, ABC's World News failed to report Biden's assertion.  Rather's old network CBS barely mentioned it on his old show, the Evening News, as a part of a "McCain attacks Obama campaign" story.  NBC's Nightly News did, but omitted the most volatile portion of his statement, "(M)ark my words, within the next, first six months of this administration if we win, you're gonna face a major international challenge...."

Not only was it not above the fold in the New York Times, it was on Page A18 in paragraph eleven of a story headlined "Obama Briefly Leaving Trail to See Ill Grandmother."  The Washington Post made brief mention of it on Page A4.

MRC President and Newsbusters.org Publisher L. Brent Bozell, III issued the following statement in response:

"The liberal media's silence on Sen. Biden's guarantee of a ‘major international challenge' in the ‘first six months' of an Obama administration is a crystal clear example of their horrendous coverage throughout the 2008 Presidential campaign.

"It's media bias so bad, even Dan Rather can see it.  A Vice Presidential candidate tells us to ‘mark his words' that some enormous global crisis will occur on their watch, and the liberal media either intentionally omit it, skew their reporting to minimize it or bury it deep in the inner recesses of their newspapers.

"Rather is right again about Gov. Palin.  The liberal media have gone into overdrive since Day One to smear her as a dolt, a ‘Caribou Barbie', yet here we have perpetual gaffe machine Sen. Biden promising us an international catastrophe as a part of their Administration's transition effort and the press reports nothing."

WHAT IF the MSM goes Blank on mcCain / Palin COVERAGE ?

In order to take away Votes by Lack of Coverage ? An All Obama all the time push the last few days of the Election ?

then ..
The Republican Revolution will not be Televised

They also ignored his

They also ignored his comment that (paraphrasing) I've forgotten  more about foreign policy than most guys ever knew, so I can be added value...

Translation: Obama's green, but don't worry; I'll keep him on track.

Dan Rather?

Dan's kind of late to the game on this isn't he? Of course, the media wasn't biased when he was in it.

Joe Biden comments on testing of Obama

I just got through listening to a Dem representative

on Fox News answering a question about Biden's

comments, and she completely turned it around

saying Biden meant both candidates would be

tested because we live in dangerous times.   She

lied through her teeth spewing the Dem's

campaign trash that they all have memorized so

they don't have to answer a question truthfully.

I'm so mad I could just scream, but I'd wake

up my upstairs neighbor and scare someone.

Lord, help us all!!!!!!   This election has gotten

so rotten  I can't stand it anymore.   Its gonna

be stolen by these dimwits.  John McCain and

Sarah Palin start pushing this garbage back down

their lying throats.   Screw the media and their

implications and lies that you are causing

violent reactions.   You should cause real reaction

among Americans so this man does not win!!!!!

No They Can't

"Its gonna be stolen by these dimwits."

They can only steal it if we stay home on November 4th. That would be the real crime. Everyone go vote!!!

By the

way, you

may want

to use the

'Enter' key

a little less often.

I'm just saying.  :)

i'm waiting...

i'm waiting for the media spin when a conservative accidentally says:

Obama bin Biden or Osama 'n' Biden when referring to Obama and Biden.

That will make front page NYT, even though it would be an honest slip.  But Biden says honestly that something will happen to test his amateur boss when he's elected, and it's page 18 in a "Grandma" story.

"These are not the droids we're looking for... move along"

When questioned about the

When questioned about the lack of coverage and double standard concerning the Biden statements Dan Rather also said what happens on the internet might be more important than traditional news coverage. Later they mentioned that this is a battle for older voters and what Biden said would scare older voters because they remember what happened after JFK took the Whitehouse. Saying the Biden statement will be reported on the internet so that will more than make up for the lack of coverage in the mainstream news is ridiculous. I thank God for the truth you can get on the internet but a lot of these older voters do not use the internet and only get their news from papers and TV.

More to follow Dan

As the main stream media is dying, and more layoffs will undoubtly occur, more and more of the old media members will finaly admit biasses.

The Main Stream Media died in 2008, RIP

dan knows best

well dan would know all about media bias first hand.  it's a shame that this dem. hack won't go away.

Media's Role on Coming Totalitarian Government

There is no doubt that the big winner in the election this year is the MSM. Everyone knows that they have been PR flacks for Obama, yet the MSM is on the verge of power beyond their wildest dreams. Even with the sustained protests of the "new media," the MSM has driven the narrative of the election by omitting facts to the dumb masses.

It can be quantitatively proven that the media ignored important stories on the subprime mortgage mess and the democrat's complicity in it; the entire William Ayers issue; the way Obama and his supporters trend Socialist (How many Americans have died fighting Socialism in the past 100 years?); and the massive voter and donations fraud within the Obama campaign. At the same time, the MSM have asserted Obama as our savior, a genius, the One. Any objective assessment of Obama proves these grandiose claims ridiculous, but the MSM have made them accepted fact in true propaganda tradition.  If Obama is elected he will owe his presidency to the MSM, his alpha special interest group.

If Obama wins, the MSM will morph into a quasi-official arm of the government. They will be among the elect in a new elite class in America, much as they are in Europe now. They will be the new "Untouchables." They will label all dissent as racist, and strongarm all far-left laws through Congress through propaganda and intimidation. They will heavily censor center-right opinion. Combine that with a Congressional majority for the Democrats and what you have is simple: Totalitarianism.

They said it couldn't happen here, but we are on the precipice, within two weeks of being enslaved by an entrenched leftist government that only a revolution could eject from power. Twenty years from now, we might pray to return to this day so that we might do something, anything, to keep this from happening.
