Call it the Blame Game. The liberals are already coming up with excuses if Barack Obama loses in November. We have already seen how members of the MSM are blaming it on racism. However, Huffington Post blogger, Paul Slansky, has found another villain: Bill Clinton. Slansky lays out the blame scenario in his blog:
Given that we would never have had the odious George W. Bush in the White House in the first place if it wasn't for your blow jobs, Bill, it seems obvious that you owe it to the people of this country, and especially to the parents whose kids died in the Iraq War that Gore would never have started, and to all the parents whose kids would be killed in the WarFest that would be a McCain/Palin -- sorry, Palin/McCain administration -- to do everything in your power to get Barack Obama elected.
But that's not what you're doing, Bill, and it's not going unnoticed. We see your rage, Bill, it's too huge to hide. We see that -- as Chris Rock so brilliantly pointed out -- it pains you to even speak Obama's name. We see you petulantly rooting against him even as you go through the motions of doing the barest minimum on his behalf to avoid being blamed if he loses.
And Slansky sure isn't going to let Bill Clinton off the hook as you can see:
You're not fooling anyone, Bill. You've gotten so caught up in yesterday that you've stopped thinking about tomorrow. You have the power to influence millions of voters and you're spitefully sitting on it. Surely you've noticed what's going on in the country. Surely you're aware of what's at stake on November 4th. This is not a game that you can afford to take your ball and go home with if you don't get to play the position you want. An Obama loss will most certainly be part of your legacy.
Slansky doesn't sound too happy with Bill. However, he does offer Bill a way to redeem himself...by faking enthusiasm for Obama:
There's still time to fix it. How about this for an October surprise? Bill Clinton gets on the road and spends every day until the election sincerely and wholeheartedly communicating the urgency of electing Obama. You're the greatest politician of your generation, Bill. Surely you can fake enthusiasm for a month.
And if Obama loses, Slansky makes this threat against Clinton:
If Obama loses a close election -- one in which even one state where you could have made a difference goes for McCain because you sat home and pouted -- it will be on you. We will remember that you couldn't be bothered to rise above your petty resentments for something as trivial as saving your country from the enemies of everything you profess to believe in. We forgave you for Monica, Bill, but we won't forgive you for this.
Yes, it will be your fault, Bill Clinton, if Obama loses. The only problem is that the only way Hillary has a chance at the White House in 2012 is for Obama to lose. Perhaps Bill can work up enough fake grief over an Obama loss this year to fool even Slansky.

There you have your marching orders direct from the moonbat's mouths, Bubba. "Close election"? Nah, give 'em a McCain landslide. I'm happy, you're happy.

Slansky misses the point
September 23, 2008 - 20:48 ET by motherbeltSlansky misses the point that if he and his friends hadn't forgiven
Bill for his....indiscretions, shall we say, Al Gore would have finished Clinton's term and most likely been elected in 2000, (possibly HRC in 2004) and they wouldn't be in the fix they are now in.
Mr. Slansky and his Clinton-forgiving buddies have now been hoist on their own petard.

Obama: "devil in disquise"
September 23, 2008 - 20:47 ET by wdhorningIt seems Biden and Obama may be starting a subtle feud so that eventually Biden leaves the ticket, making room for someone else.
I am not sure who it would be to replace him because I think Biden and the Clintons and others are starting to see Obama's true colors. He is beginning to look like a political liability to their own futures, because sooner or later his background is going to catch up with him, like those "loose associations" with a few unsavory characters, and his active work for several anti-American efforts.
And on Hannity and Colmes tonight, Juan Williams says it was only a few meetings between Obama and Weather Underground leader, Ayers, and that Obama did not share the same radical philosophy that Ayers had. Well that is bullsh*t. I mean, that is like saying, "Gee, I think I will see if Charles Manson would be willing to correspond with me from prison on how I can be a good boy scout leader (scout master)," and then telling others, "Well I do not share Charles Manson's philosopy."
And secondly, it was not a few meetings, but an active partnership to try to radicalize school students for anti-American activities.
People, Obama is "the devil in disquise."
I saw that, kinda suprised
September 23, 2008 - 21:22 ET by general companyI saw that, kinda suprised Juan bothered. The woman on that panal fried his and Colmes bacon.
Could you imagine if a Repub had these type of associations, they would be investigated, forced to resign, and maybe jailed. Obama, they make excuses for him.

I think you are onto
September 23, 2008 - 21:28 ET by NonanonI think you are onto something here. The Dems can't seem to admit that Obama may lose because of the quality of candidate they nominated for President. Even though they are posturing to space themselves from Obama, they are still blaming everyone and everything else but him. We've seen it for some time, but they have been blind to it.
As to the last line, I'm wondering if we are seeing what people who are blinded by the devil look and act like. They seem to embrace and support many things that are anti-God in their makeup, calling good evil and evil good.
Had the media allowed
September 23, 2008 - 20:50 ET by MidAmericaHad the media allowed hillary to win and she then picked obama as her running mate I doubt she would have been stoppable in the general election. It isn't bill clinton's fault that the liberal elite couldn't resist going for symbolism over substance.
That's another good version
September 23, 2008 - 20:57 ET by motherbeltThat's another good version of the libs being hoist on their own petard!!
Above I said "Karma's a b**ch." But so's "payback."
Hillary = substance over symbolism?
September 23, 2008 - 22:08 ET by Scout FinchI can see your point, up to a point. But Hillary over Obama is like placing deck chairs in different spots on the Titanic.
Voting Democrat means we all go down with the ship.
Hillary is indeed more
September 24, 2008 - 07:16 ET by MidAmericaHillary is indeed more substantial when it comes to her beliefs. I/we find them unacceptable but she is at least is more internally consistant and a hillary Whitehouse would be run by hillary (flying ashtrays and all). Obama, on the other hand, is still formulating who he is and would be dependent on others to help him 'govern'. My point is, had the dems nominated hillary, they could have had a potential eight years with her and after eight years of being Vice-President, eight more with a President obama. This, of course, is assumming they didn't screw things up. But.... this was a more rational choice for the dems than what they have done now. Obama, even if he is elected, will be trying to lead a divided country and a divided democrat party. The knives will be waiting for his first screw up.
Has anyone else noticed
September 23, 2008 - 21:11 ET by FastEdthat the libs are all about placing blame - on someone else?!?
Personal responsiblity is such a foreign concept to them, they NEED to find scapegoats, early and often.

September 23, 2008 - 21:43 ET by Scout FinchIt's either "racists" fault or it's "Clinton's" fault if Barack Obama fails to win in November.
It could never be because Americans simply do not trust nor like Obama, could it???
Yeah, it's everyone else's fault except Obama's. So, does that mean that if McCain/Palin win in 2008 that Obama will be the presumptive nominee in 2012? Like h-e-double hockey sticks!
