Mort Zuckerman Once Again Corrects Eleanor Clift's Stupidity
There are times when I'm truly sickened by the total lack of economic acumen possessed by today's so-called journalists.
On PBS's McLaughlin Group this weekend, Newsweek's Eleanor Clift once again said something so totally ignorant that she had to be corrected by US News & World Report's Mort Zuckerman (video follows with transcript and commentary):
ELEANOR CLIFT, NEWSWEEK: To the extent that Brazil ups its oil production, anything that diminishes the Middle East is a good thing. But we can't just funnel oil from Brazil. And I think what they're upset about in Brazil is the tightening down of the sanctions on Iran because they see that disrupting the oil market. So when these leaders get together, they each come at it from their own perspective, and I think it's a good thing that the president has good relations with this country. It's an emerging power.
Please notice the quizzical look on Pat Buchanan’s face as he also must have realized what a totally absurd statement Clift just made as did Zuckerman:
MORT ZUCKERMAN, US NEWS & WORLD REPORT: I have to say with all due respect, what’s happening with Iran has raised oil prices, which raises the revenues that Brazil gets from selling their oil.
Exactly. Clift didn’t agree:
CLIFT: Yeah, it was one of issues that she raised.
ZUCKERMAN: I'm sure it is. She's hoping that they raise prices even more.
CLIFT: Well, I don’t know about that.
The "she" in question was Dilma Rousseff, the president of Brazil who Obama met with last Monday, and as oil is a major industry for her nation, she most certainly is thrilled when energy prices go up regardless of what Clift does or does not know.
Honestly, the depths of this woman’s ignorance know no bounds.
Readers are reminded that in January, Clift said something so dumb on this program that Zuckerman did a double facepalm.
Good thing she’s got Newsweek and numerous television platforms to most effectively misinform the public from.

Buchanan's reaction into its own little vid, it could be attached to almost anything ever uttered by the obviously unbalanced Clift. I almost feel sorry for her after that one.

What makes Ms. Clift especially unlikable is the fact she adds a hateful personality on top of being stupid.
How do these libs get and keep these cushy jobs in media?! The percentage of intelligent, logical, and honest people within the MSM and liberalism in general, is so tiny it's insignificant.
How twisted does one's liberal mind have to be in order to do what it takes to rise up the ranks within the media? The most popular and in-demand libs are those that lie better than other libs. Successful libs don't care what they have to say or do, or who's life gets destroyed.
Ms. Clift is a sad example of what a lifetime as a soulless, unprincipled, liberal turns a person into.

She is just demonstrating the level of understanding that exists in the I95 bubble.
These people really do exist in a bubble. They never get out and attempt to learn what is going on outside of the very very small circle of people in which they live.
Kind of reminds one of a buch of aging 60's pot heads sitting in a cicle, smoking weed and expounding on life (limited to their small circle). Their heads are moving up and down like a bobble head while they repeat the same stupid lines 'yea man, cool, groovy, yea man.'

All the liberals get their "information" from such sources. For the party of intellectuals, they sure don't know much about virtually effortless research on issues. Which pretty much sums up the rest of their philosophies:

Has Ms. Clift ever said anything intelligent?
I began watching this show a long time ago and consider Ms. Clift the comedy relief portion of the show. Most of the talkers on the show speak from a wealth of knowledge mostly with honest respect for the intelligence of the audience.
Ms. Clift is usually either out in far left or off topic or trying to change the topic to something she can understand, maybe nailpolish. She is an administration talking head, if the administration said it it comes from the burning bush, nevermind facts or truth ot commonsense. She is just an Obama liberal incapable of independent thought.
