Santorum Rips Keller's Claim 'He's Creeping Up On Christian Version Of Sharia Law'
As NewsBusters reported Tuesday, former New York Times executive editor Bill Keller said on MSNBC's Morning Joe, "Sometimes [Rick] Santorum sounds like he's creeping up on a Christian version of Sharia law."
In response to this nonsense, the Republican presidential candidate told conservative talk radio host Hugh Hewitt later that day, "This is the intolerance of the Left. If you have religious beliefs that they don’t believe in, then they marginalize you" (video follows with partial transcript):
RICK SANTORUM: This is the intolerance of the Left. If you have religious beliefs that they don’t believe in, then they marginalize you. You have to shut up about it. You can’t talk about those things, and if you do, we’re going to marginalize you. And by the way, under President Obama, if you have religious beliefs we don’t agree with, we’re going to dictate to you that you have to change those and conform to what the government thinks is your right.
See, I think people of all religious beliefs have a right to go out and voice their concerns about public policy and express those in a public square and it’s okay. You know, the idea that my religious beliefs disqualify me now from holding public life is exactly the opposite from what our Constitution laid out and what the first amendment is.
You know, if you look at my track record, we’ve had a very strong and consistent record standing up for conservative principles that made America great and not taking, you know, every religious item that one religion or another teaches and trying to put it into law. Just the opposite, we want a very tolerant and open society that allows people of different points of view to be able to express those and to be able to live their lives in conformity with them.

The former editor of the NYT get HIS news from MSLSD. This is the tripe they've been running with for a week now. At least the letter networks are (relatively) smart enough to keep their mouths shut. MSLSD will never, NEVER, let the truth or facts get in the way of their agenda. And then you get an incredible moron like Keller giving them credibility (more or less). I keep hearing about leftists wanting to delete the 2nd Amendment because "it's obsolete". How about we modify the 1st to delete the "freedom of the press" clause? When the media can outright LIE and get away with it, they need to be chained up and put away. I am so sick of the elitist media having such tremendous sway over this country's politics. If they had actually done their job three years ago, Obambi would have never even had a chance of being elected.
IF they had actually done their job.

So, to whom do we appeal to redress their dereliction of duty? It seems as though they consider themselves accountable to no one BUT themselves.

With this statement by Keller, we have a left wing extremist admitting that sharia law is a bad thing.

Only 2/10 commandments have been codified into US laws (I think): no murder and no stealing. Other than that it's pretty much a free-for-all assault on the other 8, for better or for worse.
Eliminate the 2 offensive 'judeo christian items' and we move back to the Law of the Jungle, or Law of Nature (Sharia) where Might Makes Right and death is your only goal, reward or relief. I hate TV learning.
