Day After Joe Klein Says Obama Closer to Military Than Bush Poll Finds Military Don't Like Obama
As NewsBusters reported Sunday, Time magazine's Joe Klein said on this weekend's "The Chris Matthews Show" Barack Obama has a better relationship with the military than George W. Bush did.
Almost on cue, Gallup released a poll Monday finding military personnel and veterans give Obama lower marks than the rest of the population:
Thirty-seven percent of all active-duty military personnel and veterans surveyed approved of the job Obama is doing during the January 2010 to April 2011 time frame. That compares with 48% of nonveterans interviewed during the same period.
Here's what Klein said this weekend:
"I'd say the relationship is pretty good, very, better than it was with Bush because the military hated the fact that he wasn't really doing the job in Iraq."

Once the liberal bastions of political correctness have their "corps" of liberal minded military officers in charge once more... expect that the military will "once again" reflect the ruling elites, rather than the middle-class (if there are any left) and main-stream America.
That is WHY the military HAS TO HAVE more women and more GLBT's serving OPENLY in the "ranks" and in "command" positions. Today, it has gone past, allowing them to serve "quietly" without allowing them their "flamboyance" and "flaming public demonstrations" (think Castro Street fests). Not will be having them in command.
We will have, like many a NATO partner country then has, a "show" force that looks good in a parade, but can't fight their way out of a wet paper bag.

LTC Allen West is on that committee now. He has been vociferous in his criticism of the "norming" that's going on in the services. He had a few choice words to say about it at the last Town Hall meeting.

This is the problem. We read about it on the Drudge blog and and here. But try to find it in the New York Times, Washington Post, Los angeles Times, Newsday, Time Magazine, NBC, ABC, CBS.
The next President, whomever it is and it will surely be a Republican, should hire Brent Bozell as Press Secretary that way the questions and answers would go both ways - them asking whatever they want, and Brent asking about what they are printing or broadcasting.

The Obama Administration let a little blurb out that they are thinking of cutting finances to the military. Not, buying bullets, or space toilet seats, but actually cutting the pay to military persons. These same people who have no use of the military people because they look at them as inferior people to begin with. These Birkenstock sandal Liberals of the University liberal arts program set have every intention of under cutting the pay stubs of the military rank and file to reduce the cost of government funding. What better way to get your fiscal house in order. Make it so undesireable to join the multi function employment situations with the military than cut the pay by 20%. Now that's a way to get recuits to sign on, hub? When, welfare people earn as much as a trained Seal Team member now that's the way to protect your nation..

Texas Senate caved

Because of what Texas wanted to do,the TSA and even the DOJ threatened to make Texas a no-fly zone. The Lt Governor is apparently on the side of the feddies with this one, leading some to think that he's a traitor to the state of Texas. Apparently they are pulling the version they have back and are going to offer something more watered down. I think the Lt Gov is a plant of some kind. I definitely don't trust him.
The airports in the whole country can tell the TSA to shove off if they wanted to, and replace them with private security firms which would be a WHOLE lot more reliable. But the fact is, the DHS, DOJ, and TSA are going to make sure they are there to stay, and this threat to close the Texas skies is nothing more than domestic terrorism on the part of the fed gov't. Utah is next on trying to do something similar that Texas did.
The Texas Senate should have held its ground. We're under a constant threat from the fed gov't since it's a state that didn't vote for the Chairman. Who knows what's next?
