Maddow: Fox Isn't a News Channel - It's a 'McCarthyite Chamber of Horrors'
The presumptive face of the most biased and propagandist television news outlet in America had some harsh words for the media organization that bests hers in ratings virtually every hour of every day.
In a piece published by the Daily Beast Sunday, Rachel Maddow hypocritically told Howard Kurtz that Fox News has "become a McCarthyite chamber of horrors… You can't really call yourself a news channel if that's what you broadcast":
In the Olbermann tradition, Maddow is increasingly denouncing Fox, saying that Glenn Beck, in monologues about Muslims, has been "running baroque conspiracies that are designed to freak people out about bogeymen coming to get them, conspiracies that are unsupported by the facts." Fox, she charges, has "become a McCarthyite chamber of horrors… You can't really call yourself a news channel if that's what you broadcast." Maddow's repeated attacks have not provoked a response from Fox.
This coming from a woman that has recently been skewered by NewsBusters, Politifact, and the Baltimore Sun's David Zurawik for her highly-partisan, often false statements on air.
In the past ten days alone, Maddow has come under fire for a number of clearly erroneous comments she's made about the union battle in Wisconsin. Kurtz even addressed this on CNN's "Reliable Sources" Sunday, but failed to point it out in his rather glowing column:
While the host devours information online, stuffing printouts in thick folders, there are missteps. She touted an item on the website ChristWire urging Sarah Palin to speak out on Egypt—unaware that it was a satirical blog with such headlines as ARE FACEBOOK SEX GANGS USING "WIKILEAKS" TO TARGET YOUR TEENS? (Maddow good-naturedly confessed her error on Twitter.)
Indeed, but that was weeks ago and clearly a trifle compared to what she stepped in last Thursday when she claimed Wisconsin had a budget surplus.
As Kurtz was going to be interviewing Politifact's editor about this episode on the same day his profile of Maddow was to be published, it is quite curious why he didn't mention it in his piece.
Consider, too, that Politifact has to date reviewed eleven statements by Maddow finding four false, one barely true, three half-true, two mostly true, and only one completely true.
That means she was scored 100 percent right in only nine percent of their analyses.
And this woman has the nerve to say Fox isn't a news channel.

Senator McCarthy accused those in the adminstration of being communists. He was rigth. The Venona tapes later proved him right.
The "scary" threat of being a McCarthyite just isn't scary at all. Try another meme. This one isn't working.
By the way, the powder puff questioning of dimocrats and labor leaders across the country over the weekend was appalling. The often misstatement of the Republican position on the labor disputes around the country was also appalling.
Fox News can hardly be counted as conservative let alone accurately reporting the facts.

What can you say to this jaw-dropping nonsense. Maddow is the female version of Matthews and the rest at MSNBC. However, she does serve as a great study of the modern "liberal"--- an uniformed, ignorant, immature, hypocritical, self-loathing, intolerant,closed-minded, illogical liar. Like Obama, she's an incompentent , pouting, snarky adolescent--indoctrinated from birth with "progressive" ideas and taught to judge and hate anyone with whom she disagrees. "Liberal"? -- what a misnomer!

Read any left wing website or blog. The denial amongst proressives about any of their failures, including the failure to recognize they've been caught in an outright lie and won't admit, is inherent in all the posts on their sites. They continuously use media matters, the huff post and other left wing websites to "legitamize" their references and can't see the hypocracy in believing MSNBC is a balanced news organization and Fox is this right wing arm of the republican party. I am always shocked when I see one right leaning attendee on any of their shows, and usually they only get talked over or relegated to the back of the bus during conversations with the likes of chris and larry. MSNBC loses more credibility every day, and Joe Scarborough on his show today showed he doesn't have the balls to stand up for what he used to believe. Rachel and Lawrence are "on tilt" and heading in the wrong direction, the handwirting must be blatatnly on the wall at corporat HQ these days with the new management, and they're only trying to rally some numbers to prove they shouldn't lose their jobs. Good Luck, and Good Bye.

Relax - look who MSNBC's 'face' is now...
Submitted by Slyrr on Mon, 02/28/2011 - 1:41pm.
Best thing we can do now is ignore BS-NBC and let them die the ingominuous death that they so richly deserve. We've all known for ages that this failed network is circling the drain, scrabbling at the porcelain in a vain attempt to stop themselves from being sucked into oblivion.
The proof is in the pudding. Look who they say their 'face' is now. Rachel Maddow - with her crooked teeth, 1970's hair and perpetually paralyzed right side of her lip. THIS is thier face now - the face they expect that will save them and garner them viewers.
It is to laugh. Like liberals in the TV business always do, they've glommed onto someone they feel is 'hip'. And why is she hip? She's gay - and gay is their fad du jour.
But no matter how much lipstick they put on this pig, it's still a pig. BSNBC's problem was, is, and always will be that they're liberals. They're socialits, they're communists, they're perverts, they're violent anti-establishmentarians, they're pro gay, pro abortion, anti-religion, anti virtue, anti capitalist, rebellious snobs. Their problem is that they're shills for Democrats - they're bought and paid for, lock stock and barrel. Obama owns their network through GM/Universal.
THAT is why they're foundering. People hate their lousy network, and they hate the 'personalities' they're using to whore for Obama's agenda. So it doesn't matter WHO they pick to be their 'face'. Be it Maddie-poo's twisted face, or Chrissy-boy's floppy, frothing face. They'll still be the toilet network of TV news, no matter what they do.
Everyone knows it's only because Obama is slipping them our taxpayer money under the table that they haven't gone out of business already.
Maddow and the talking points..
Submitted by Gary Hall on Mon, 02/28/2011 - 1:54pm.
Not to forget that Maddow only allows that there are "some" liberals working at MSNBC.
Noel's link to PolitiFact.com led me to check out how they were covering Glenn Beck. The very first item which caught my attention was, Rachel Maddow says Fox News 'said the New Black Panther Party decided the election for Barack Obama.' Needless to say, and thankfully, PolitiFact found Maddow's claim (not surprisingly a Media Matters' claim, as well) to be "false." The entire segment is one "Chamber of Horrors" after another.
My question is - why is this fact check item predominately placed on the Glenn Beck page rather than on Maddow's list of horrors, as the claim in question came from Maddow - not Beck?
Watching the embedded video (I can't imagine that NB didn't address this "blowhard" event) from Maddow's appearance on the Letterman Show, also reminded me of a dandy. Maddow claims that Fox News rules by issuing their own "talking points" -- something she claims that MSNBC doesn't do. I don't know whether that is true or not, however we do know that the Obama White House issues talking points, and MSNBC plays by them:
MSNBC Host [Miki] Admits To Parroting White House Talking Points
And that's probably MSNBC's best "news" show.

I doubt Maddow has ever studied McCarthyism, much less The Verona Papers or any of the history of America's fight against Communism. This "brilliant" Rhodes "Scholar" in politcal science has to make you laugh (or cry). Like Obama, she is propped up by her "liberal" pals and imagined to be something she is not. Like Obama, the girl is a below average lefty with a penchant for saying anything, true or not, as long as it toes the lefty line. It's all part of the sad story of American education and "liberal" social policy which has plagued our nation for the past fifty years. Worst of all, because of political correctness, we have been afraid to call out these snotty little twerps who walk around with smerks on their faces and have too many followers in our schools and in society in general. Ignorance truly is bliss! Eh, Rachel and Barry.

Remove the word "virtually" and you would be factually correct. Maddow has NEVER won a ratings contest with Fox in her entire career with MSNBC. Even against FNC reruns.
EDIT: Oh, I'm sorry. My bad. You meant the entire network lineup. Still, show me one instance where ANY "prime time" MSNBC show beat any Fox prime time show during the same day.

Noel, Brent & Co.,
Just as we've already adopted shorthand for the so called mainstream media (MSM), or as they've come to be known recently, the make believe media (MBM), we need a few shorthand terms or acronyms to save time when discussing the monsterous level of projection that continuously spews forth from the MBM and the DNC.
I realize that electrons are cheap, but in any given three-month period, you guys will typically report on 3-4 dozen separate instances of leftist projection taking place on a national or global stage. Madcow's latest rant being a case in point.
Think of the time you could save. Do it for the poor overworked electrons. You don't hate electrons, do you?
