UPDATES AT END OF POST: Joe Scarborough calls Olbermann out for these disgusting remarks -- now including video!
"In Scott Brown we have an irresponsible, homophobic, racist, reactionary, ex-nude model, teabagging supporter of violence against woman and against politicians with whom he disagrees."
Such was actually said Monday evening -- on national television!!! -- by a person currently employed by one of America's largest corporations, General Electric.
If the following "special comment" by MSNBC's Keith Olbermann is considered acceptable discourse on a cable news network today, there really is something very wrong in our nation (video embedded below the fold with transcript, h/t Story Balloon):
KEITH OLBERMANN, HOST: Lost in the angst about Obama and Coakley is the little-recognized real headline of this vote. You have heard Scott Brown speculating, talking out of his bare bottom, about whether or not the President of the United States was born out of wedlock. You have heard Scott Brown respond to the shout from a supporter that they should stick a curling iron into Ms. Coakley's rectum with the answer, "We can do this."
You may not have heard Scott Brown support a Constitutional amendment banning same-sex marriage, or describing two women having a child as being quote, "Just not normal." You may not have heard Scott Brown associating himself with the Tea Party movement, perhaps the saddest collection of people who don't want to admit why they really hate since the racists of the South in the sixties insisted they were really just concerned about states' rights. You may not of heard Scott Brown voting against paid leaves of absence for Massachusetts Red Cross workers who had gone to New York to help after 9/11.
In short, in Scott Brown we have an irresponsible, homophobic, racist, reactionary, ex-nude model, teabagging supporter of violence against woman and against politicians with whom he disagrees. In any other time in our history, this man would have been laughed off the stage as an unqualified and a disaster in the making by the most conservative of conservatives. Instead, the commonwealth of Massachusetts is close to sending this bad joke to the Senate of the United States.
If General Electric and NBC don't recognize how far over the line of decency this is, the downward spiral our nation has been heading is without question close to irreversible.
The time has come for this type of inflammatory hyperbole from so-called journalists to stop - for the sake of our children and our children's children.
*****Update: MSNBC's Joe Scarborough tweeted the following this evening (h/t Johnny Dollar via Instapundit):
Obermann calls Brown a "homophobic racist reactionary" who "supports violence against women." How reckless and how sad.
It is no longer enough to simply disagree with someone. These days some feel the need to call opponents evil. It happens on both extremes.
*****Update II: Scarborough mentioned this on "Morning Joe" Tuesday (h/t Mark Finkelstein):

If it is Comcast they would need aproval so as to not be in Anti-Trust Trouble.

Well, I must say it does indeed feel good to say how VERY proud we are to have a senator who is a man of strong principles and Scott Brown will serve us well! (still doesn't make the taxes go down or the one-party state legislature be anything other than led by crooks)
For all of you not living here, I must share the IRONY of this election. Had Ted Kennedy NOT pushed for the election process to be changed when he thought John Kerry was going to win the presidency (hahahahahahaha) this appointed senator would have served out the entire remaining two years of Kennedy's term. And had Ted Kennedy had the honor (couldn't spell the word, much less live by it) to resign so a special election could be held, it would undoubtedly have gone to a fellow Democrat - to honor the great legacy????? So...once again it just proves you have to be very careful what you wish for. Doncha know the best laid plans of mice and men often go astray! And this little 'trick' turned right around and bit the Dems on the tush! And Massachusetts and the rest of AMERICA are the better for the ill-conceived plans of EMK!

It needs to be pointed out that "teabagging" is a disgusting homosexual sex act and people like Olbermann, Maddow, Kerry, Schumer and even Obama himself know this and that is the main reason why they use it with hatred in their hearts against people they disagree with.
Anyone who uses the term "teabagger" against a Republican needs to immediately get called out on it. They need to be told "you know what that derogatory terms means, don't you? You should be embarresed for lowering political discourse to it's lowest level ever".
This way when they use the term again, it can be known as a fact that they are blatantly using one of the most vile sex acts to describe a large portion of the country, and that shouldn't be acceptable. It would be grounds for an organized boycott of sponsors the same way someone who uses racial perjoratives gets boycotted.

Here is the course of action:
1. Any self respecting human being employed by NBC should demand Olbermann be reprimanded (Leno and Conan included).
2. Win or lose, Scott Brown should file a lawsuit against Olbermnn, NBC, and/or GE to put an end to this obscene behavior.
3. Jack Welch should hightail it to 30 Rock and challenge Immelt to a fist fight -- winner take all.
Noel, This is the problem
Tue, 01/19/2010 - 02:51 ET by LiberalliesNoel,
This is the problem that way too many of us on the Right do not understand. Through my job, I deal with a lot of people who watch Olberman who believe he is the greatest thing since sliced bread. They love how he talks, they love his hate for the Right since it channels their own hate. Guess what age group this is? 18 to late 20some. I work at a university and I am surrounded by this mindless Olbermannbots. I am 34 years old and the hate that is being displayed by the 18 to late 20some Liberals towards the Right, I have never seen in any other generation. I am from Chicago, thus I have many Liberal friends who are my age or older, and most of them, not all, but most of them believe Olberman does more harm than good to the Liberal cause. Huge difference how my generation and older generations view Olberman to how the younger generation view Olberman.
I constantly debate with these young kids and they constantly quote Maddow, Olberman, Daily Kos, Huffington Post. They watch Olberman religiously and grab on to his every word. I hate to say this, but I believe that the coming generation who today is 18 to late 20some, is already lost. I have been told to my face by quite a few of these young hateful Liberals that my right to vote should be taken away since someone who thinks like me, you know a Conservative, should not be allowed to vote. And believe me, they mean it and wish they could do it.
Remember, most polls show that Obama's approval ratings have fallen dramatically, except in what age group? 18 to late 20some. Olberman is speaking to this young Liberals and feeding them hate.
I just spent a few days debating Rush's comment about Haiti and Obama. Every single Liberal that I debated ended up insulting me and I mean really insulting me when I destroyed their flawed logic which they had based on what they read all over the Left wing blogs and heard on shows like Olberman's. And I kid you not when all of them ended up telling me that someone who thinks like me should not be allowed to vote.
So, there is a problem already and these hateful young Liberals are starting to graduate from college and going out into politics, law, etc, etc. I used to be way more optimistic about the future of this nation, but since I started dealing on a daily basis with 18 to late 20somes, well my optimisim is dying. The United States future is in real trouble.
Future developments may blunt this problem.
Tue, 01/19/2010 - 12:57 ET by needleThis touches on a major concern of mine also, and is very near the top of my list of issues with the Liberal media. However, things may not be as bad as they seem.
I imagine a certain amount of the passion you hear from these relatively young adults is immaturity, but a far greater amount of passion is driven from the “green” imperative that Global Warming has made very urgent in their minds. To the extent the latter is true, I believe that they are in for a shocking disillusionment when the truth of about Climategate seeps out in spite of the efforts to hide it by the Liberal media. This WILL come out, because Climategate WILL be the reason the Cap & Tax bill WILL NOT be able to move forward. These young adults, to the meager extent they are politically savvy, will demand to know why this [extremely important in their minds] bill is stymied; and when they find out why, and that they have been lied to essentially all their life, it is hard to predict what will happen, but I doubt it will be as bad as it appears now.
I hope and pray the Liberal media will be so disgraced that it will shrivel up to something approaching a nullity. NewsBusters may even have to change its emphasis to that of correcting egregious distortions by a heady new and dominant conservative media, which may be in the distant offing. But I get way ahead of myself.

What Keith could use
Tue, 01/19/2010 - 02:59 ET by sanderson13Olbermann needs a laugh track. The way his mouth flaps over his, well, his mouth, he always looks like he's smirking at a canned laugh track from 1979. I'm sure they could license an old Love Boat one from ABC, if their credit is good.
If not, maybe they could hire the crew from the Uncle Floyd show to laugh along with his razor-sharped lines. I, personally, find his mock-outrage to be pretty funny. Maybe I could pitch the idea to MSNBC and be one of the crew? They could use some kind of ratings spike.
But seriously, folks, the Dems are incredibly scared, down to their last pathetic drool-bucket carrier (this last adjective-noun-noun was meant to refer to Mr. Olbermann, in case that slipped past your joke goalie).
They only have a few hours left before the next thing they can call Brown is... Senator.
Oh snap!
Yes, funny.
Tue, 01/19/2010 - 13:13 ET by needleMy goalie caught your joke, because he was energized by your first amusing comment/suggestion.
I do not know the legality of this, but some unemployed computer savvy youth could get a start in life by creating a popular web site featuring video clips of Countdown complete with jeers, sound effects, side comments, and a laugh track overlaid. The opportunity is there like low hanging fruit.

Hatred
Tue, 01/19/2010 - 03:17 ET by JPPI arrested a guy once that had held up several people and had stolen and carjacked several cars in a mini crime-spree. When I confronted him as he was handcuffed to a fence there was a look in his eyes of pure and absolute hatred. I had no doubt that if he could have he would have killed me right there in front of 20 cops. I see that same look in Mr. Olbrermann's eyes.

Tue, 01/19/2010 - 04:01 ET by dtruth27If there's anyone who knows about homophobic teabagging, it's Olbermann.
How funny is it that liberals use the term "teabagging" to degrade conservatives and people who support the tea party movement? The term "teabag" in it's original use is a slur against homosexuals. So much for (pretending) to say there is nothing wrong with homosexuality and then using it as a slur against someone you don't agree with. Now who's homophobic?
Choke on that, Olbermann. (Oops! Too personal, Keith?)

Of course many Obot hacks like Olberman had their wagons not just hooked, but WELDED to the Hopenchange pony… now lame.

Tue, 01/19/2010 - 09:23 ET by JWFBirther? - He wasn't sure if Barrack Obama's mother was married at the time of his birth. ZOINKS. Hardly makes you a birther. Women won emancipation and suffrage long ago. They won the right to pass on their citizenship, married or not, along with the other rights. PS - I didn't know if she was married. Did the official biography of BHO, put out when he was, like, 27, say he was fatherless?
Curling iron? - Yea. Ain't gonna watch that video 17 times to get what was said. Mr. Brown was talking about the terrorist trying to kill us and how Miss Coakley wants to treat it like a criminal matter. Someone called out a remark. ZOINKS. He shoulda jumped off that podium and commenced to tha poundin' huh? PS I was the reason Jimmy Carter lost. I screamed out, Jimmy, beat on a bunny! right before he said, "I sure will."
Massachusetts Red Cross? - Hello. The Red Cross is an independent organization that is not affiliated with any one state. This is a lie. There is no Mass. Red Cross or Mass. Red Cross workers. It was state workers getting 3 weeks paid leave year after year, to volunteer for the Red Cross. And the people down at Ground Zero? PAID Firemen. Paid, on the clock Firemen. Not Red Cross volunteers.
Tea Party movement? - Yea, keep dissing on normal Americans that are for lower taxes and less intrusive government. Crazy lot there.
Just not normal? - Uh, guys, it is not. 2 women having a child is not normal. Egg and another egg. See the problem here? There is only been one time in history when an unfertilised human egg managed to develop into a human being. It was 2000 years ago, the guy got very famous, and the biography and collected sayings from him are still very popular today. So, to sum up, one time in the collected history of the planet, that is the definition of unique and not normal.
Scott Brown posed for Cosmo? - The Vet has seen Cosmo. The Vet has looked at Cosmo in the early days before he could actually get his hands on porn (when the Vet was 4). Cosmo, yea, not a nudie magazine. Besides, the guy that patrols his house neked except for the six guns strapped on ain't really gonna have much to say about - Hey, that ain't right! They pasted Scott Brown's head on my body!
Something I noticed. Researching this on Google today. Usually you get 16 pages of lefty links dissing on a Republican when you google a Republican. Most of the top links today, news and right leaning sites right at the top of the search!
The Vet is making a prediction. Scott Brown takes this.
Sincerely,
