 How can they be called Tax cuts when we just gave them 800bil in so called simulus $. This is a farce, they pretend to give you 282, while stealing 800. Please quit allowing them to muddle your thought proccess, we will all pay for it in the end. BTW his budgit also has the exact same spending in it as the stealfromus bill, increaseing many of these programs by over a 100%,. There is no justification for this BS, other then giving the drones a warm feeling.

described them, they will allow “more families that earn too little to
pay income taxes to claim at least some of the $1,000-per-child tax
credit.” At present, a household must have income of $12,500 per year
to be eligible for tax credits, but under the Obama plan, the cutoff
will be reduced to $3,000.

So what Obama and his advisors call a tax cut is really only a
transfer payment from one set of hands to another. Such redistribution
fosters no new production, and with that, no subsequent demand.

For at least two reasons, the credit will be an economic retardant.
Productive workers will see more of their earnings taxed or borrowed in
order to stimulate immediate consumption. When we consider that all
profits in society result from past parsimony, we can see that the
productive economy will be weakened if this form of alleged stimulus is
put in place.

Translated, failing companies will write their losses off on the backs
of successful individuals and companies alike.

I read the whole article and I thought his explanation was very reasonable.  Obama's tax cuts are not really tax cuts and they are bad for us.  What say you GingerMan?

Obama's tax "cut" is nothing but smoke and mirrors. Half the people in this country don't pay federal income taxes as it is. Any "breaks" given to these people are nothing more than welfare payments.

Whatever pittance actual taxPAYERS will see wouldn't pay for five bottles of my favorite single malt scotch. 

What is worse, the mere pittance of a tax break is going to very quickly be offset in the form of sharply higher prices at the retail level for everything that is manufactured, grown, or imported and sold in this country due to higher transportation costs brought about by rising energy prices that we all know are coming. That includes much higher utility bills as well.

Everyone is going to be paying for these increases, even the welfare recipients mentioned above.

Sorry, spin all you want, but the fact of the matter is that 60% of the federal taxpayers are paying the freight for the other 40%.  And what does His Majesty The Shahinshah wish to do?  Why, soak those evil rich bastards even more and give more tax breaks to those who are not paying taxes at all!
