"The View's" Joy Behar believes last week's controversial New York Post cartoon which mocked the recently enacted stimulus bill represented an assassination threat on President Barack Obama.
She even wonders if the author should be investigated by the FBI.
I kid you not.
As host Barbara Walters on Tuesday addressed Rupert Murdoch's apology for the cartoon published in his paper, Behar said the following (video embedded below courtesy Ms Underestimated):
But there hasn't been enough attention to the fact that there is an assassination involved in the cartoon also. Not just about the racist part. Which I think that you can be investigated by the FBI if you make an assassination threat...You know, and I think that has been minimized because they did shoot the ape.

I had a friend that had not gone to college that had gotten a factory job. The pay and the work was crap, but the benefits were good and she was very excited to get the job after working as a waitress for many years. After working the job for 8 months or so she had gotten a raise and made friends and was even happier. Then she happened to use the phrase "call a spade a spade" in a conversation. This "racial epitaph" spoken to an african-american coworker in the presence of others got her fired with no warning write-up, no appeal after her black coworker complained. Crap like this no longer shocks me but still makes me angry as hell- this is a perfect argument against Darwin: survival of the fittest doesn't explain how these people are still alive and breeding.

Also, I am STILL not getting how people are really, truly and seriously taking this cartoon as either "racial" or as an "assassination threat". I think those that are seeing it in this light are taking out of the contest in which it was intended and are doing so only to majorly rock the boat and stir up controversy where there is none.
